For\u200b further details, click on the &#8220;Read more&#8230;&#8221; button.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_78\">\n<p>In 15 days, eligible <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/alaska\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alaska<\/a> residents who have yet to get their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/money\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">checks<\/a> from the\u00a0state as part of the state\u2019s Permanent Fund Dividend will receive their payments.<\/p>\n<p>On April 18, residents with the \u201cEligible-Not Paid\u201d status as of April 10 who have not gotten their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/stimulus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">checks<\/a> from the Permanent Fund Dividend program from 2023 or earlier will receive their payments from the Alaska Department of Revenue.<\/p>\n<p>An applicant must intend to remain a resident of Alaska indefinitely and not be a convicted felon, among other stipulations, to be eligible for a check from the program.<\/p>\n<p>The Permanent Fund Dividend amount each year is determined by the state\u2019s annual\u00a0mineral revenues and the checks are sent to eligible residents every year. In 2023, the payment from the program was worth $1,312 per resident, and the distribution for that payment began in October of last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 2023 PFD marks the 42nd year Alaskans have received their share of the state\u2019s natural resource wealth,\u201d Alaska Department of Revenue Commissioner Adam Crum said in a 2023 statement. \u201cI would like to thank our Permanent Fund Dividend Division for their tireless work year-round in administering the program and processing the applications.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, we processed over 8,000 more applications than in 2022,\u201d Crum said. \u201cThe 2023 PFD will inject nearly $1 billion into the state\u2019s\u00a0economy\u00a0and directly into the hands of Alaskans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The application period for the Permanent Fund Dividend this year was open from Jan. 1 to Sunday. The next time applications will be open for the program will be on Jan. 1, 2025.
