In\u200c a more comprehensive \u200bsix-person race, Biden leads Trump by 41% \u2062to 38%\u200b in Wisconsin.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Donald Trump\">Donald Trump<\/a> still holds leads over President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Joe Biden\">Joe Biden<\/a> in most key swing states, but his margins in two of those states have tightened.<\/p>\n<p>A new <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/elections\/trump-biden-poll-swing-states-ad594acb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"poll\">poll<\/a> released Tuesday night shows Trump leading Biden 44%-43% in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/georgia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Georgia\">Georgia<\/a>, and the two men are tied at 46% in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/wisconsin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Wisconsin\">Wisconsin<\/a>, in a head-to-head matchup. <\/p>\n<p>In a six-person race, including independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West, libertarian candidate Lars Mapstead, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein, Biden leads Trump in Wisconsin 41%-38%, while Trump leads Biden in Georgia 38%-35%.<\/p>\n<p>The margins in the two key states, which Trump won in 2016 and Biden won in 2020, have tightened in the polls compiled by <em>RealClearPolitics<\/em> for its polling average. Polls in Wisconsin earlier this year had shown Trump with a lead as big as 5 percentage points over Biden, while polls in Georgia earlier this year had shown him leading by as much as 8 points. Trump still leads Biden in both polling averages, by 4.5 points in Georgia and 0.6 points in Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>In the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> poll, which was conducted from March 17-24 among 600 registered voters in each of the seven battleground states, Trump leads Biden in all the other states included.<\/p>\n<p>In the head-to-head race between Trump and Biden, the former president leads in Arizona at 47%-42%, Michigan at 48%-45%, North Carolina at 49%-43%, Nevada at 48%-44%, and Pennsylvania at 47%-44%.<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s significant lead in North Carolina comes after a visit last week by Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and the recent announcement they will open 10 campaign offices in a bid to flip the state blue for the first time since 2008.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In contrast to four years ago, Trump holds leads over Biden in nearly all swing states and in most national polls, whereas Biden was leading Trump in the polls at this point in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Both men seeking another term in the White House are facing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2950273\/biden-stalked-protest-vote-haley-thorn-trump-side\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"concerns\">concerns<\/a> about unified support going into November, as \u201cuncommitted\u201d votes make a statement in the Democratic primaries and votes for other candidates are happening in significant numbers in Republican primaries.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former President Donald Trump maintains an edge over President Joe Biden in pivotal swing states, with his leads narrowing in select areas.
