The incident occurred near the reservoir at 90th Street and East Drive. A 27-year-old male threw the rock, causing \u2062an abrasion to Stuhlbarg&#8217;s \u200bneck before being apprehended by the police without resistance. Actor Michael Stuhlbarg from &#8220;Boardwalk Empire&#8221; was attacked with a rock in Central Park over the weekend, according to the New York City\u200b Police Department. The assault took place near the reservoir at 90th Street and East Drive. \u2062The perpetrator, a\u2063 27-year-old male,\u2064 threw the rock, resulting in an abrasion to Stuhlbarg&#8217;s neck, \u2062and was subsequently arrested without resistance.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cBoardwalk Empire\u201d actor <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/celebrities\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Michael Stuhlbarg<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/assault\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">attacked<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  by a man with a rock in Central Park over the weekend, per the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/new-york-city\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">New York City<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  Police Department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Police responded around 7:45 p.m. ET Sunday to a \u201ccall of an assault in progress in the vicinity of 90th Street and East Drive\u201d near the reservoir in Central Park, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/04\/01\/entertainment\/michael-stuhlbarg-hit-rock-central-park\/index.html\">CNN<\/a>. That\u2019s where they found the 55-year-old celeb who was \u201cstruck in the head by an unknown object.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cA preliminary investigation determined that a 27-year-old male threw a rock, striking the victim in the back of the neck, causing an abrasion,\u201d an NYPD spokesperson said in an email statement to the outlet on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe victim chased the 27-year-old male to the front of 9 East 91st Street where uniformed officers took the 27-year-old male into custody without further incident. The victim refused medical attention at the scene,\u201d the statement continued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Suspected perpetrator Xavier Israel was arraigned on Monday on assault charges and released on bail. He has a court appearance scheduled for April 5.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Stuhlbarg has received several accolades, including two Screen Actors Guild Awards and nominations for two Emmy Awards, a Tony Award, and a Golden Globe Award.
