This initiative\u2064 targets eliminating discrimination against white individuals endorsed by federal agencies.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p>Sixty years after the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Democrats have turned that law on its head, co-opting it as a license for reverse racial discrimination in the name of \u201cequity.\u201d And Democrat media are horrified at the news that former President Donald Trump plans to redirect the federal government to apply the law according to its initial, colorblind letter, should he win the White House.<\/p>\n<p>Trump plans to reverse the government\u2019s current interpretation of the Civil Rights Act that has permitted federal agencies to discriminate against white people, Axios reported. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1462936388\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2f42d130d3092e6e7d306faf4bc32bf8 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2f42d130d3092e6e7d306faf4bc32bf8\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cAs President Trump has said, all staff, offices, and initiatives connected to Biden\u2019s un-American policy will be immediately terminated,\u201d Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/04\/01\/trump-reverse-racism-civil-rights\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Axios<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Trump is committed to weeding out discriminatory programs and racist ideology across the federal government,\u201d Cheung said, according to Axios. Cheung did not respond to The Federalist\u2019s request for comment by publication time.<\/p>\n<p>Rolling Stone <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/politics-news\/trump-allies-civil-rights-laws-protect-white-people-1234997143\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fretted<\/a> that Trump\u2019s reported plans would \u201cprotect white people\u201d from discrimination. MSNBC derisively used the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/morning-joe\/watch\/trump-allies-plot-anti-racism-protections-for-white-people-208068165575\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">word<\/a> \u201cplot\u201d to describe Trump\u2019s efforts, inviting notorious race-baiter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gxzA1FLENRE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Al Sharpton<\/a> on the air to claim Trump wants to \u201creverse\u201d the civil rights movement. <\/p>\n<p>The 1964 Civil Rights Act prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin. It was designed to end racial discrimination in America, but Democrats have instead twisted the law to <em>justify<\/em> such discrimination, excluding white Americans from opportunities while perpetuating their soft bigotry of low expectations for racial minorities. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-a799caa1d5b0a38a0a52b24452f8d176 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-a799caa1d5b0a38a0a52b24452f8d176\"><\/div>\n<p>As Axios\u2019 Alex Thompson noted, a federal judge recently ruled that the Commerce Department\u2019s Minority Business Development Agency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mbda.gov\/about\/history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">program<\/a> that was \u201cdedicated exclusively to minority business enterprise\u201d was discriminatory. Three white business owners were denied the chance to even apply for aid from the department because only so-called \u201cdisadvantaged\u201d racial minorities were eligible. The business owners successfully argued the agency was discriminating on the basis of race or ethnicity. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile a federal judge blocked the Biden administration in 2021 from making loan \u201cforgiveness\u201d payments to nonwhite farmers after a white farmer alleged in a lawsuit that the program violated the equal protection clause. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c[The program\u2019s] rigid, categorical, race-based qualification for relief is the antithesis of flexibility,\u201d Judge Marcia Morales Howard <a href=\"https:\/\/casetext.com\/case\/wynn-v-vilsack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ruled<\/a>. \u201cThe debt relief provision applies strictly on racial grounds irrespective of any other factor. Every person who identifies him or herself as falling within a socially disadvantaged group who has a qualifying farm loan with an outstanding balance as of January 1, 2021, receives up to 120 percent debt relief \u2014 and no one else receives any debt relief.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Instead of looking at how deserving an individual and his specific set of circumstances may be, these programs prejudge a person\u2019s eligibility based on skin color. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9b57c06eb1887d34dd645f8165597e78 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9b57c06eb1887d34dd645f8165597e78\"><\/div>\n<p>The Supreme Court found this type of discrimination unconstitutional last June when it ruled 6-3 that affirmative action policies violate the 14th Amendment. Students for Fair Admissions filed suit against Harvard and the University of North Carolina, alleging their race-based admissions policies violated the Civil Rights Act and the equal protection clause. <\/p>\n<p><strong>[READNEXT:[READNEXT:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/29\/ending-affirmative-action-wont-stop-the-university-systems-racist-admissions-practices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Ending Affirmative Action Won\u2019t Stop The University System\u2019s Racist Admissions Practices<\/strong><\/a><strong>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany universities have for too long wrongly concluded that the touchstone of an individual\u2019s identity is not challenges bested, skills built, or lessons learned, but the color of their skin,\u201d Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the majority. \u201cThis Nation\u2019s constitutional history does not tolerate that choice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That type of choosing based on race is how the Supreme Court ended up with Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and how Kamala Harris ended up one 81-year-old heartbeat away from the presidency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI commit that if I\u2019m elected President and I have an opportunity to appoint someone to the courts, I\u2019ll appoint the first black woman to the Court,\u201d then-candidate Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/5803677\/joe-biden-woman-vice-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> during an interview. \u201cIf I\u2019m elected President \u2026 I commit that I will in fact pick a woman to be Vice President.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But skin color alone doesn\u2019t make a person qualified. (Just ask anyone in Texas whether Border Czar Harris has helped stem the flow of illegal immigration.)<\/p>\n<p>Americans should have the confidence that their political leaders are chosen based on their individual capabilities and merit, not based on secondary traits like race.
