The payment from the program was worth $1,312 per resident in 2023, and the distribution for that payment began in October of last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 2023 PFD marks the 42nd year Alaskans have received their share of the state\u2019s natural resource wealth,\u201d Alaska Department of Revenue Commissioner Adam Crum said in a 2023 statement. \u201cI would like to thank our Permanent Fund Dividend Division for their tireless work year-round in administering the program and processing the applications.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, we processed over 8,000 more applications than in 2022,\u201d Crum said. \u201cThe 2023 PFD will inject nearly $1 billion into the state\u2019s\u00a0economy\u00a0and directly into the hands of Alaskans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Applications for the Permanent Fund Dividend were open from Jan. 1 to Sunday, and the next time applications will be open for the program will be on Jan. 1, 2025.
