Judge Mark Scarsi heard his argument last week but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/2942305\/judge-skeptical-as-hunter-biden-asks-for-dismissal-of-tax-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"appeared unconvinced\">appeared unconvinced<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere doesn\u2019t seem to be any evidence\u201d that pressure from Republicans \u201cinfluenced the prosecutors\u2019 decision other than the timeline,\u201d Scarsi said at the hearing last week.<\/p>\n<p>Scarsi elaborated on his reasoning in an extensive <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.cacd.907805\/gov.uscourts.cacd.907805.67.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"82-page filing\">82-page filing<\/a> released on Monday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Court concludes that Special Counsel Weiss is lawfully funded through the indefinite appropriation, and the Appropriations Clause has not been violated,\u201d he wrote in the filing, regarding the motion to dismiss Weiss on the grounds that he was unlawfully appointed.<\/p>\n<p>A jury trial in the case is set to begin on June 20.
