Rep. Claudia Tenney, a Republican from New York, voiced criticism against the Biden administration for its\u2063 approach to Easter, alleging that Democrats are excessively\u2064 &#8220;sexualizing everything.&#8221; Her \u2063concerns were outlined in an article \u2063published on the \u200bWashington Examiner.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_78\">\n<p>Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/author\/rep-claudia-tenney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Claudia Tenney\">Claudia Tenney<\/a> (R-NY) bashed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/biden-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Biden administration\">Biden administration<\/a> for its treatment of Easter, saying Democrats are \u201csexualizing everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an appearance on Fox Business, Tenney denounced the Biden administration\u2019s decision to acknowledge Easter Sunday as Transgender Visibility Day, along with the inclusion of 145 days of LGBT recognition. The New York Republican said that effort constituted a \u201cwar on Christianity\u201d and that she is worried about what Democrats are doing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook, I\u2019ve heard about this all day yesterday, and I have been throughout the district today, and everybody\u2019s talking about it,\u201d she said, referring to President Joe Biden\u2019s declaration that Easter Sunday was Transgender Visibility Day. \u201cIt may have not surfaced in polls, but people are talking about it, and people are appalled with this.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a sacred day, especially celebrated by Christians and respected by all religions,\u201d she continued. \u201cThat\u2019s the point of our country \u2014 is to respect religious differences. But this is what worries me. \u2026 This sexualization of everything on the Left and not focusing on the things that are important. Getting to work \u2026 being prosperous, caring for families, and \u2026 shouldn\u2019t it be about families? You know? And everything from the Left is against families.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook, I have \u2026 all the respect in the world for people who are transgender, but do they need 145 days of LGBT recognition? We don\u2019t even recognize our veterans that many days a year,\u201d Tenney added.<\/p>\n<p>The day has been recognized since 2009 on March 31 each year.
