The event expects donations totaling $33 million, with contributions going\u200b to Trump&#8217;s campaign, the Republican National Convention, and a PAC.\u2062 Key \u200bdonors include\u200c Harold Hamm, Jose Fanjul, Howard\u200c Lutnick, Steve Witkoff,\u2062 Rebekah and Bob Mercer, Todd Ricketts, Warren Stephens, Nelson\u2062 Peltz, Steve\u2063 Wynn, Elon Musk, and Isaac Perlmutter.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former President <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a> is hoping to outraise <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>President Joe Biden<\/a> at a <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/money\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>fundraiser<\/a> hosted by billionaires next week, who are returning to support Trump despite fallout from the <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/january-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Jan. 6 riot.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The event will cost $250,000 for admission, but many donors are pledging the full amount of $814,600, according to Trump\u2019s campaign. The fundraiser is expected to haul in $33 million, and the donations will be divided between Trump\u2019s campaign, the <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/rnc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Republican National Convention<\/a>, and a leadership political action committee that helps with his legal fees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are not only raising the necessary funds, but we are deploying strategic assets that will help send President Trump back to the White House and carry Republicans over the finish line,\u201d Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/03\/29\/trump-billionaires-gop-donors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"told\">told<\/a> the <em>Washington Post.<\/em> <\/p>\n<p>The fundraiser will be hosted by billionaires such as oil tycoon Harold Hamm, sugar magnate Jose Fanjul, real estate powerhouses Howard Lutnick and Steve Witkoff, megadonors Rebekah and Bob Mercer, and business executives Todd Ricketts and Warren Stephens.<\/p>\n<p>Other GOP billionaire megadonors are also returning to Trump\u2019s fray, including Nelson Peltz, Hotelier Steve Wynn, Tesla and SpaceX founder and<a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/elon-musk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title> CEO Elon Musk<\/a>, and former Marvel chairman Isaac Perlmutter. The four men joined Trump at Peltz\u2019s mansion in Palm Beach for breakfast earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Peltz has not always been a fan of the former president and claimed the riot at the United States <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/capitol-hill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Capitol building<\/a> on Jan. 6, 2021, was a \u201cdisgrace\u201d and apologized for supporting Trump in 2016. However, he told the <em>Financial Times <\/em>that he would \u201cprobably\u201d vote for Trump in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the megadonors are not \u201centhusiastic\u201d supporters of Trump. They merely see him as better for their own interests than Biden. But one member of Trump\u2019s team, Susies Wiles, has impressed some donors enough to turn their heads. Wiles\u2019s impressiveness was especially noted when providing data that showed Trump could allegedly woo suburban voters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t a passionate embrace. It\u2019s just reality,\u201d one person close to major donors told the <em>Washington Post<\/em>. \u201cNo one is particularly excited about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The formerly enthusiastic megadonors of Trump\u2019s have also expressed concern over his legal battles. But Trump has proved better for them than the alternative of Biden, who has vowed to raise taxes for billionaires.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/?utm_source=google&#038;utm_medium=cpc&#038;utm_campaign=WE_Search_Brand-Keyword_2024&#038;gad_source=1&#038;gclid=Cj0KCQjwzZmwBhD8ARIsAH4v1gWVQjABecyKyd_wGO4ibc7ZgzynJnO3y5q8LEDmAqguDixICnJmFaoaAobREALw_wcB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The fundraiser next weekend comes after Biden hosted his own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2943675\/obama-clinton-spotlight-biden-fundraiser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>mega fundraiser<\/a> at Radio City Music Hall in <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/new-york-city\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>New York City<\/a> on Thursday and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2942499\/biden-25-million-fundraiser-obama-clinton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>raised $26 million<\/a> for his presidential campaign. <\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s campaign closed out February with $71 million cash on hand, according to federal campaign filings. Trump\u2019s campaign ended the month with $33.5 million in the bank.
