Wes Moore<\/a> (D-MD).<\/p>\n<p>Biden has been previously criticized for not visiting other disaster sites quickly, including East Palestine, Ohio, after last year\u2019s toxic train derailment.<\/p>\n<p>But <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/white-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>White House<\/a> press secretary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/karine-jean-pierre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Karine Jean-Pierre<\/a> had previewed that he would go \u201cwhen it is the appropriate time on the ground\u201d so as not to\u00a0\u201cget in the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maryland will receive initial emergency relief\u00a0of $60 million, but Jean-Pierre did not have any more details this week when asked when the administration will be making another supplemental funding request to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/congress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Congress<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs you heard from the president, we\u2019re going to do everything that we can,\u201d she told reporters en route to New York. \u201cThe federal government is going to be there for the city of\u00a0Baltimore, state of Maryland, to make sure that we get that bridge going, built back up. We\u2019re expecting Congress to act.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House has not confirmed whether Biden has reached out to the families of the six workers killed when the Singapore-flagged <em>Dali<\/em> crashed into the bridge. Two of their bodies have been recovered, while the rest remain missing.
