Directed by Harvard alumnus Daniel Goldhaber, the movie, inspired by Andreas Malm&#8217;s book, depicts young activists executing a pipeline sabotage \u200bas a form of protest. The event has sparked concerns about\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/secretary-mayorkas-fbi-director-wray-and-others-testify-to-senate-on-homeland-security\/\" title=\"Mayorkas, Wray, and others testify on Homeland Security to Senate.\">potential terrorist activities<\/a> among <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dhs-identifies-311-child-victims-of-sexual-exploitation\/\" title=\"DHS finds 311 child victims of sexual exploitation.\">law \u200denforcement agencies<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Harvard Law School is under fire for plans to host a movie screening of \u2018How To Blow Up A Pipeline,\u2019 a film that the FBI says promotes eco-terrorism.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The film, directed by Harvard alumni Daniel Goldhaber, grows ideas from Andreas Malm\u2019s book with the same name, and tells the story of a group of young people blowing up a pipeline as an activism tactic. The film\u2019s website includes a \u201cTake Action\u201d page on its website with a map of U.S. oil and gas pipelines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Harvard appears to going beyond simply screening the film. <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A website operated by Harvard Law School professor Jon Hanson, who is moderating a Q&#038;A with the film\u2019s director during the event, encourages attendance of all students \u201cinterested in environmental activism.\u201d His website,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/systemicjustice.org\/event\/film-society-screening-how-to-blow-up-a-pipeline\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Systemic Justice Project<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, describes the film\u2019s plot as \u201cthe story of a group of activists who execute a daring plan to (you guessed it) blow up a pipeline.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The FBI issued a terrorist alert due to fears that the movie would inspire eco-terrorism, Rolling Stone <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/politics-news\/pipeline-movie-fbi-terrorism-hollywood-1234717269\/\">reported<\/a> in April. Another 23 law enforcement entities followed suit.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe consensus amongst law enforcement and the private oil sector is that this film may motivate attacks or disruptions on critical infrastructure throughout the country,\u201d the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, wrote in a March 21 bulletin, according to Rolling Stone.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Harvard promoting domestic eco-terrorism. <\/p>\n<p>If a Republican were teaching how to blow up an abortion center they would (rightly) be in jail.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the Biden DOJ will do\u2026nothing. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1bB8fpbuzn\">https:\/\/t.co\/1bB8fpbuzn<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tedcruz\/status\/1772736118078750880?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 26, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sen. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) echoed Cruz\u2019s accusations, saying Harvard was \u201cpromoting movies that promote and teach domestic terrorism.\u201d He told The Daily Wire that the Biden administration\u2019s failure to do anything about the film is a representation of its misplaced priorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe Biden Administration has been <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bidens-education-secretary-solicited-nsba-letter-comparing-parents-to-domestic-terrorists-report\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">targeting parents<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as terrorist threats, which is completely insane,\u201d Crenshaw said. \u201cBut the Far-Left gets a pass for blatant calls for violence. They encourage violence as an appropriate tool for achieving their radical agenda without any regard for the safety of innocent Americans.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Daily Wire <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/state-universities-are-teaching-students-to-blow-up-oil-pipelines-records-show#\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">previously reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that the book that inspired the film is making its way into public universities around the United States, and is even required reading in some courses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Its author told <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2024\/01\/14\/magazine\/andreas-malm-interview.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The New York Times<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> he would \u201cgladly participate\u201d in blowing up a pipeline but has not yet had the opportunity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_715761\" style=\"width: 382px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-715761\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The poster for a Harvard Law School\u2019s club screening of How to Blow Up a Pipeline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/video-anti-israel-mob-at-harvard-chants-outside-israeli-popstar-ishay-ribos-concert\">VIDEO: Anti-Israel Mob At Harvard Chants Outside Israeli Popstar Ishay Ribo\u2019s Concert<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIf I were part of a group where something like blowing up a pipeline was perceived as a tactic that could be useful for our struggle, then I would gladly participate,\u201d he said. \u201cI have engaged in as much militant climate activism as I have had access to\u201d and \u201cI\u2019ve done things that I can\u2019t tell you or that I wouldn\u2019t tell others publicly.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Malm openly spoke about his willingness to cause death and destruction during the same interview.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIt\u2019s hard to think that deaths don\u2019t become inevitable if there is more sabotage,\u201d the interviewer stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cSure, if you have a thousand pipeline explosions per year, if it takes on that extreme scale. But we are some distance from that, unfortunately,\u201d Malm responded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cDon\u2019t say \u2018unfortunately,\u2019\u201d the interviewer interjected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWell, I want sabotage to happen on a much larger scale than it does now. I can\u2019t guarantee that it won\u2019t come with accidents,\u201d Malm replied.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/harvard-employee-harasses-jewish-student-suing-school-for-anti-semitism-asks-to-debate-9-11-conspiracies\">Harvard Employee Harasses Jewish Student Suing School For Anti-Semitism, Asks To Debate 9\/11 Conspiracies<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The book also recommends lessons from Palestinian terrorists who in 2018 \u201cinvented techniques for sending kites and helium-inflated condoms carrying incendiary materials across the wall to burn Israeli property.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The moderator for the Q&#038;A, Hanson, is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/jewish-students-sue-harvard-for-failing-to-stop-anti-semitism-while-threatening-discipline-for-fatphobia#\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">named in a lawsuit<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> brought by Harvard Jewish students alleging the school selectively enforced its own policies to avoid protecting Jews from harassment.
