The new settlement, which voided the previous agreement, was hailed by both Disney and DeSantis\u2019 office.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">DeSantis communications director Bryan Griffin said that Disney conceded that the settlement makes the previous agreement \u201cnull and void.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cNo corporation should be its own government,\u201d Griffin told <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/desantis-spikes-the-ball-as-disney-drops-suit-challenging-loss-of-special-district-status\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">National Review<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. \u201cMoving forward, we stand ready to work with Disney and the District to help promote economic growth, family-friendly tourism, and accountable government in Central Florida.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Walt Disney World Resort President Jeff Vahle said the settlement sets the framework for future investment in the resort.
