Consumers are sharing their challenges accessing\u200b these pills, \u2064especially in states with \u200bstrict regulations.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Facilitated by Left-wing activist groups, a network of websites has emerged to ship unregulated foreign abortion pills across the country with no age verification, no prescription, and no concern about state laws that may ban medication-induced abortions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are dozens of sites sending out abortion drugs, many of which are not approved by the FDA. In many red states, like Tennessee and Texas, where abortion is banned, all it takes to circumvent the law is access to the internet, a willingness to make payments online, and a shipping address.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A Daily Wire investigation found that, for less than $100, anyone can order the Planabortion drugs such as mifepristone and misoprostol online without a prescription. Age is not verified nor is a medical professional ever consulted, meaning anyone, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-white-house-doesnt-care-if-parents-know-their-daughters-are-victims-of-sex-crimes\/\" title=\"The White House Doesn\u2019t Care If Parents Know Their Daughters Are Victims Of Sex Crimes\">including young girls<\/a>, can easily get their hands on the pills after brief interactions on a shady website.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The websites typically direct users to use discreet payment methods to acquire foreign pills. If there are any medical complications, which are not uncommon, the websites typically say they have no liability. They also assure users that their use of the unregulated drugs won\u2019t be detectable by doctors, and urge them not to disclose what they did.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIf you go to a hospital or other healthcare facility, do not tell anyone that you took the pills. There is no way for anyone to know you took the pills. Tell them you think you are having a miscarriage,\u201d one website warns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to data from the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, over 60% of abortions in 2023 were done via medication. The total reported was 642,700 in the formal healthcare system, which is likely substantially less than the number of medication abortions that may have been done by women ordering from non-certified websites.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on whether to reinstate restrictions on the mailing of mifepristone that were rolled back by the Biden administration. A ruling against the Biden administration would potentially increase demand for pills from these unregulated websites that frequently don\u2019t comply with current FDA regulations.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The pill providers have received glowing coverage in legacy media outlets and openly admit to stretching the law, none of the pill providers appear to have faced any legal challenges. While the Biden administration loosened restrictions on sending pills through the mail, the law still requires those sending out the pills to verify prescriptions and be certified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Daily Wire analyzed the processes of nearly a dozen websites that are sending abortion pills to women across the country. These websites appear to be paying little attention to the many guidelines, and have put in place complicated systems to circumvent any responsibility. The websites, for example, typically prefer payments in difficult-to-track cryptocurrencies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But at the center of the operation are organizations that direct women seeking abortions to their websites, such as Plan C.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Plan C Pushes Users To Abortion Pill Providers<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One of the major organizations promoting the shipping of abortion pills to red states is Plan C, which<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/Ps9Vd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">describes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> itself as a \u201cpublic health creative campaign\u201d composed of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/atlantic-city-shutters-needle-exchange-site-amid-spike-in-deadly-overdoses\/\" title=\"Atlantic City Shutters Needle Exchange Site Amid Spike In Deadly Overdoses\">public health advocates<\/a>, researchers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pulitzer-prize-winning-journalist-calls-america-a-criminal-enterprise\/\" title=\"Pulitzer Prize-Winning Journalist Calls America a \u2018Criminal Enterprise\u2019\">social justice activists<\/a>, and digital strategists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Run by a former Planned Parenthood official, the organization has been<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2023\/04\/13\/us\/abortion-pill-order-online-mifepristone.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">covered<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> widely by the legacy media, including NPR, The New York Times, and Axios, and openly<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.plancpills.org\/press\/press-release-abortion-access-campaign-plan-c-will-not-let-ruling-against-the-fda-halt-access-to-pills\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">boasts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> about pointing women to use pills in states where abortion is banned. Its goal is to \u201ctransform\u201d the way abortion is accessed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cPlan C transforms access to abortion in the US by normalizing the self-directed option of abortion pills by mail,\u201d Plan C says. \u201cOur Vision: A near future in which the ability to end an early pregnancy is directly in the hands of anyone who seeks it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In a section that has now been removed from its<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230408164414\/https:\/\/www.plancpills.org\/abortion-pill\/tennessee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Plan C urged people \u201cwho live in states with restrictive laws\u201d toward \u201ccreative options to access the pills.\u201d These options include using mail-forwarding services and general delivery post office addresses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Plan C website, which has a quick escape option, has compiled a list of ways to get abortion pills for each state in the United States, including the ones where medication abortions are illegal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The organization specifically points women in red states, like Tennessee and Texas, to specific websites where they can get abortion pills. \u201cTennessee restricts abortion pill access, but there are several ways people still get abortion pills by mail in Tennessee,\u201d Plan C\u2019s website<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20231109201412\/https:\/\/www.plancpills.org\/abortion-pill\/tennessee#pharmacies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">says<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The website notes that access from online clinics is \u201cbanned\u201d but still available. Similar messaging is found regarding information about<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230920085936\/https:\/\/www.plancpills.org\/abortion-pill\/texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Texas<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, where the distribution of abortion pills<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/statutes.capitol.texas.gov\/Docs\/HS\/htm\/HS.171.htm#171.063\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">by mail<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is illegal as well.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe are not waiting around for courts and legislators to do the right thing when it comes to abortion access. Our model is already based on that: how do we provide access in the face of unjust laws?\u201d Elisa Wells, co-founder of Plan C<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230603093153\/https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/abortion-pill-vigilantes-are-operating-a-covert-network-from-mexico-to-republican-states\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">told<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> The Daily Beast last year. Plan C did not respond to a request for an interview from The Daily Wire.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A legal section on Plan C\u2019s website suggests that women who have medical complications from taking abortion pills should not tell doctors about their abortions if they go to the hospital.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThere is no way for a medical provider to know whether someone took abortion pills. The bleeding looks the same as a miscarriage,\u201d Plan C<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20231016210343\/https:\/\/www.plancpills.org\/guide-how-to-get-abortion-pills#faq-safety\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">says<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, adding, \u201cMedical providers can give appropriate follow up care for bleeding and pain without knowing whether someone took abortion pills.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to an archived page from Plan C\u2019s website, its staff has ordered pills from each of the websites listed and had them delivered to their homes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cPlan C tested all the websites listed here by buying pills from them. Each of these sites shipped pills to us at our home addresses. They are not scams, but we do not operate these sites and cannot guarantee they will be reliable in the future,\u201d they<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230408164414\/https:\/\/www.plancpills.org\/abortion-pill\/tennessee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">said<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A review of eleven of the websites suggested by Plan C found that they all appear to be illegally sending pills all across the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Your Body, Your Choice Meds (YBYC)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One pharmacy that distributes pills without age verification or prescription is Your Body, Your Choice Meds. The organization<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20231114143800\/https:\/\/ybycmeds.com\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">claims<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that its mission is to \u201cprotect the health and human rights of anyone without access to local abortion pill services.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pills available for purchase come in a \u201cCombipack Kit\u201d for $46 or a \u201cPregnancy Kit\u201d for $90. The pills appear to be manufactured in India.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_714015\" style=\"width: 1010px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-714015\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Screenshot from YBYC showing pills to purchase.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The YBYC website directs visitors to a Reddit page administered by a user named \u201cluckydudette\u201d who appears to be affiliated with the organization. The<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/ybyc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reddit page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is filled with reviews of people saying they got abortion pills through the site, including in states where abortion by pill is illegal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reddit banned the page after The Daily Wire reached out to inquire if the page was allowed under company policy. According to a message that pops up when visiting, it was banned because of policy violations. \u201cThis subreddit was banned due to a violation of Reddit\u2019s<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.redditinc.com\/policies\/content-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">rules<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> against transactions involving prohibited goods or services,\u201d the message<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/ybyc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">says<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Reddit reviews, which are anonymous, do not necessarily indicate what actually happened, but do provide a window into the online world of people looking for abortion pills.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cMy state is against abortion and i couldn\u2019t afford to drive out of state. from the bottom of my heart, thank you. my body my choice forever,\u201d one reviewer wrote.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI\u2019m so relieved there are people out there doing this important work. Otherwise, I might have had to wait several weeks or take a trip out of state,\u201d another reviewer wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI\u2019m in Texas and terrified of being in legal trouble. I work long hours and my career is finally taking off\u2026is this safe???\u201d one woman asks. \u201cI would suggest you use like an anonymous email like proton when purchasing the item so. We are not lawyers but for the most part you should be ok,\u201d luckyduddette wrote back.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One reviewer referenced the pills being shipped from Texas, where it is<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2021\/12\/02\/texas-ban-medical-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">illegal<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to send abortion pills through the mail.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Another woman posted her story about aborting a 14-week-old baby. At that stage, a baby\u2019s organs have been developed, the face is becoming more recognizable, and its fingernails and toenails are growing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAs soon as I started bleeding, the fetus passed. And then 2 minutes later the placenta passed with some blood clots. My bf wanted me to go to the hospital so I went. My state abortion is a crime but the pills obviously were undetectable since they were placed orally and they are undetectable in blood,\u201d wrote one user in October.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Another woman left a very detailed review about her experience of self-administering an abortion. The process, which took over 48 hours, left her in so much pain that she asked her brother to find a \u201cstreet pharmacist\u201d to purchase Percocet from. Before she took the pills though, she described in graphic detail the baby being passed out of her body.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAt 9:47ish I felt my water literally pop. Between 9:56-10:02 I felt two big clumps come out into my pad. At that point the pain I was in felt unreal. I\u2019ve had 2 straight hours of 14\/10 pain. I went to the restroom to go flush the clots. The clots looked like one big blood clump with white in it and the fetus was cleared colored and right below it. I took a picture and used toilet tissue to flush it. While sitting on the toilet another clump fell into the toilet it just looked like a clump of blood and I changed my pad,\u201d she wrote.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cluckydudette\u201d later advised pill purchasers to use a VPN or DuckDuckGo and told them to use Proton Mail for emails.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After an order to one of the abortion pills is placed, customers get an email with instructions on how to pay. After payment is made through a payment processing operation like PayPal, the customer sends a screenshot of the payment back to YBYC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Medical Termination of the Pregnancy (MTPP)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While MTPP says that it has a<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/Klggf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">prescription policy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, in practice it appears to not actually require prescriptions to get abortion pills.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Purchasers of pills are required to send money to India for the purpose of \u201cfamily assistance\/ maintenance or friend help.\u201d Customers are told to \u201cnot mention anything like Mtp kit or medicine name over Payment methods otherwise they will limit or suspend our accounts permanently.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Payment for the pills can be made through Remitly, Wise, Instarem, UPI Bank Transfer, Bitcoin, and Western Union, the website says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/j6tIb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">pills offered<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by MTPP are mainly manufactured in India, but the website also sells Mifeprex abortion pills, manufactured by New York based pharma company Danco Laboratories. Danco did not respond to requests from The Daily Wire for comment on if it had authorized its products to be sold by MTPP.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to reviews available on the website, MTPP will help \u201cno matter where\u201d a woman is located.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cGreat to know that your team has the will to help women with abortion no matter where she is located. Pretty trustable as far as delivery is concerned,\u201d a reviewer named Sandra wrote on July 15, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Home Abortion RX<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Another pill provider that reportedly will send pills to red states is Home Abortion RX. The group claims to require prescriptions, and<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/jAuyi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">offers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> a variety of different abortion pill combos including mifepristone\/misoprostol, Mifeprex, Generic RU 486, and Cytolog.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A Disclaimer on its website admits that they do not manufacture the pills and states that they are not liable for any \u201cinconvenience\u201d during the abortion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe abortion pills available on the website are not manufactured by Home Abortion Rx and hence the website is not liable for any inconvenience during the medical abortion procedure,\u201d a Disclaimer<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/1MUSN#selection-27985.0-27985.181\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">reads<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A review left on the website says that Home Abortion RX will send pills to conservative states.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cLiving in a red state, no problem homeabortionrx will send you the pills anyway. I am very happy with the service and the pills. I ordered an abortion pill pack and got it delivered on time thank you so much, team,\u201d a review from August 23, 2023, said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>An Idle Timer<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to Plan C, An Idle Timer offered abortion pills to states where medication abortion is banned, including Tennessee. Their website<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/GFNq3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">explains<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that pills can be purchased privately via Bitcoin, ConaCoin, and Zelle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An Idle Timer<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/50oL3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">was started<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> after a \u201c16-year-old woman\u201d got \u201cherself into quite a predicament involving dangerous people,\u201d the organization says.
