We\u2019ve got to make sure we work now today to get this bridge back up and to get this port back open. That bridge took five years to build. We don\u2019t yet have an estimate on how long it will take to rebuild.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The secretary went on to note how Biden has stressed that the bridge be rebuilt as soon as possible, which would entail removing any administrative barriers slowing down the rebuilding process. Besides vehicles and farming equipment, other items shipped en masse at Baltimore\u2019s port include coffee, coal, and sugar.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of the bridge collapse, <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/virginia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Virginia Port Authority<\/a>\u00a0has offered its port in Norfolk as an alternative for ships.
