The enhanced version of Tesla&#8217;s Autopilot system is \u200davailable to owners for a monthly fee or upfront cost. Musk&#8217;s memo states that customers must experience the FSD technology before receiving their vehicle.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_78\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/tesla\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Tesla<\/a> will now require its employees to install its improved self-driving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/technology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>technology<\/a> in all of its vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Elon Musk, the CEO of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/electric-vehicles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>electric vehicle<\/a> company, informed Tesla employees about implementing this \u201cFull Self-Driving Capability\u201d in its vehicles in a memo. FSD is an improved version of Tesla\u2019s Autopilot technology, with Tesla owners able to receive the update for either $199 a month or as an upfront cost of $12,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGoing forward, it is mandatory in North America to install and activate FSD V12.3.1 and take customers on a short test ride before handing over the car,\u201d Musk\u2019s memo said, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2024-03-25\/musk-orders-tesla-driver-assist-testing-before-all-new-sales\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>according to<\/a> <em>Bloomberg<\/em>. \u201cAlmost no one actually realizes how well (supervised) FSD actually works.
