The case \u200dinvolves allegations of falsifying business \u2063records \u200drelated to pre-election payments. The\u200d judge emphasized the need \u200dto prevent \u2062inflammatory and threatening statements that could jeopardize justice administration.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/new-york\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York<\/a> judge has placed a gag order on former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a> restricting his ability to speak out about witnesses, prosecutors, and jurors involved in the criminal case brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The case accuses the former president of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rep-jordan-subpoenas-former-manhattan-prosecutor-who-pushed-for-trump-indictment\/\" title=\"Rep. Jordan Subpoenas Former Manhattan Prosecutor Who Pushed for Trump Indictment\">falsifying business records related<\/a> to payments made before the 2016 election by former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen to Stormy Daniels. Trump has pled not guilty to the 34 counts brought by Bragg\u2019s office and denied claims that he ever had a relationship with Daniels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Judge Juan Merchan, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/judge-dismisses-trumps-attempt-to-delay-hush-money-trial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scheduled<\/a> the trial to begin on April 15, <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/judge-new-york-hush-money-case-places-limited\/story?id=108510449\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> on Tuesday that Trump would be restricted from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/shapiro-gina-carano-firing-part-of-a-movement-to-expel-half-of-america\/\" title=\"Shapiro: Gina Carano Firing Part Of A Movement To \u2018Expel\u2019 Half Of America\">making statements<\/a> on those testifying against him, like Cohen, who is testifying for Bragg. Trump is also restricted from speaking out about prosecutors and jurors, according to the gag order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Merchan said that previous statements Trump made about individuals involved in the case \u201cwere threatening, inflammatory, denigrating,\u201d and \u201ca sufficient risk to the administration of justice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe consequences of those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ny-suspends-giulianis-law-license-over-false-and-misleading-statements-about-2020-election-accuses-former-mayor-of-inciting-january-6th-riot\/\" title=\"NY Suspends Giuliani\u2019s Law License Over \u2018False And Misleading Statements\u2019 About 2020 Election, Accuses Former Mayor Of Inciting January 6th Riot\">statements included<\/a> not only fear on the part of the individual targeted, but also the assignment of increased security resources to investigate threats and protect the individuals and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/latest-developments-in-hunter-biden-probe-puts-spotlight-on-joe-biden-informant-claim-of-bribery\/\" title=\"Latest Developments in Hunter Biden Probe Puts Spotlight on Joe Biden, Informant Claim of Bribery\">family members thereof<\/a>,\u201d the judge said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cSuch inflammatory extrajudicial statements undoubtedly risk impending the orderly administration of this Court,\u201d Merchan added. \u201cGiven that the eve of trial is upon us, it is without question that the immanency of the risk of harm is now paramount.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Trump had previously tried to have the trial delayed, but Merchan, a donor to President Joe Biden\u2019s 2020 presidential campaign, rejected his arguments on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1700760801843000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2PQrVSrJfhxNb4LcARqniG\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Before the gag order was issued, Trump said in a Truth Social <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/112162726199012291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> that Bragg\u2019s case against him was pushed by the Biden administration and New York Attorney General Letitia James.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cD.A. Bragg fought everyone about trying this \u2018no crime\u2019 case, but Crooked Joe Biden\u2019s \u2018Thugs\u2019 pushed him to go forward, and pushed him hard,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThey wanted him to go after ME, Crooked\u2019s Political Opponent. He just didn\u2019t want to do it. They ended up sending Matthew Colangelo, Merrick Garland\u2019s \u2018right hand,\u2019 after a stop at the Corrupt and Racist New York State A.G. Letecia \u2018Peekaboo\u2019 James\u2019 Office, to directly oversee the D.A., perhaps to make sure that Bragg followed their illegal orders and commands.
