While it\u2019s tempting, the data suggests this strategy is insufficient on its own,\u201d RSLC President Dee Duncan wrote. \u201cInstead of solely focusing your campaign messaging on Biden, concentrate on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wsj-editors-respond-to-trumps-claim-theyre-pushing-globalist-agenda-and-fading-into-irrelevance\/\" title=\"WSJ Editors Respond to Trump\u2019s Claim They\u2019re Pushing Globalist Agenda and Fading Into Irrelevance\">policy differences<\/a> between Republicans and Democrats, highlighting GOP-led initiatives that are directly improving lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The memo cites polling showing that while voters are 46% less likely to support a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-state-republicans-lead-democrats-by-six-points-on-generic-ballot\/\" title=\"Poll: State Republicans Lead Democrats by Six Points on Generic Ballot\">state legislative candidate<\/a> who supports Biden\u2019s reelection, that number \u201cisn\u2019t large enough of a difference maker\u201d for their state-level campaigns, Duncan warns. Instead, Duncan pointed to polling showing that 52% of voters have a favorable view of their state economy, urging candidates to lean on their own \u201cin-state successes\u201d instead.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo not use Joe Biden as your crutch to make your argument,\u201d the memo states. \u201cFocus on how your policies can make a difference for your constituents on key issues like the economy, illegal immigration, and crime, while also making sure your compassion shines through on the issues voters may be traditionally skeptical of Republicans addressing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group outlined four messaging strategies heading into the election, such as developing a \u201ctargeted communication plan\u201d that would underscore Republican policies on inflation, border security, crime, and the economy. By focusing on these topics, the RSLC predicts Republican policy proposals \u201care more likely to gain favorable attention than others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That strategy is likely to give GOP candidates an edge over Democrats who focus on abortion and threats to democracy, the memo says. Roughly 13% of voters said abortion is a top issue for them compared with 11% who said the same for threats to democracy, according to the memo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaking matters worse for Democrats, they hold a meager 3% advantage over Republicans on which party can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jim-clyburn-says-democrats-will-get-around-filibuster-to-pass-progressive-voting-expansion\/\" title=\"Jim Clyburn Says Democrats Will \u2018Get Around\u2019 Filibuster To Pass Progressive Voting Expansion\">uphold voting rights<\/a>,\u201d the memo states. \u201cThis is not significant enough to overcome their troubles with winning issues for Republicans like the economy, crime, and the border.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Duncan did urge Republicans to prioritize training candidates on how to address in vitro fertilization and doctor protection following the Alabama Supreme Court decision last month that has paused treatments across the state.
