Despite the setback,\u2062 efforts are underway to collaborate with Congress\u2062 for a potential repeal.<\/p>\n<p>During\u2063 the Obama administration, some U.S.\u2063 embassies proudly displayed pride flags. Unfortunately, this practice was\u2063 halted when Donald Trump assumed office. \u200bSubsequently, the Biden\u2063 administration\u200c reinstated the policy \u200bupon\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-has-signed-40-executive-orders-and-actions-since-taking-office\/\" title=\"Biden has signed 40 executive orders and actions since taking office\">taking office<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the ban is entrenched \u2064in\u200d U.S. law \u2063following the passage \u2064of the new spending\u200c bill. Biden and his team\u2064 successfully thwarted numerous similar measures targeting the LGBTQI+ community that were omitted\u200c from \u2062the final legislation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We were\u2064 successful in\u200c defeating 50-plus other policy\u200c riders\u200b attacking the LGBTQI+\u2064 community \u2064that Congressional Republicans attempted to \u200binsert into the \u2063legislation,&#8221; \u200cthe statement \u200dasserted. \u2064The President remains unwavering in his commitment to\u2063 champion LGBTQI+ equality domestically and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>The ban extends beyond \u200dLGBT flags and restricts most flags other than the American flag from being displayed atop \u2064U.S. embassies.
