We talked \u2064about deporting people or keeping people\u200c in jail and there has been no concern on\u200d the other side about trying to tackle\u200b people with criminal records or people who have actively engaged in crime.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>The\u200b Tragic Incident and Legislative Response<\/h3>\n<p>The perpetrator, Ibarra, was living near the \u200dUniversity of Georgia\u2064 campus in Athens, Georgia, when he committed the \u200cheinous act while Riley was out\u200c jogging. Despite previous knowledge of his status as an illegal immigrant, \u200dauthorities released him back into the country instead of deportation, ultimately resulting in \u2063this devastating incident.<\/p>\n<p>Passing\u200c through the House with a \u2063251-170 vote, including support from\u200c 37 Democratic representatives, the bill faces uncertainty in the Senate due to lack of bipartisan consensus.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThey care more\u2063 about\u2063 spending money we don\u2019t have,\u201d Paul \u200bcriticized the Democratic \u2064senators. \u201cThey are more concerned with shoveling the money\u2062 out the door than they are with the death of this\u2062 young woman and trying\u200d to prevent\u200c this from happening to other people.
