Those who refuse to return could face \u2062charges\u2062 of a Class B misdemeanor and up \u2063to six months in jail. Repeat offenders could be charged with a second-degree felony and face\u2064 up to 20 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration&#8217;s Department of Justice (DOJ) has challenged the law, deeming\u200d it unconstitutional.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;SB4\u2062 impedes the federal \u200bgovernment&#8217;s\u2063 ability to enforce \u2064entry and removal provisions of federal law and interferes with its conduct of foreign\u200c relations,&#8221; argued the Biden DOJ.
