The House \u200bsergeant at\u2063 arms took 71 minutes to approve the dispatching \u2063of additional Guard troops while the\u200c Capitol was \u200dattacked, Sund \u200dsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Sund encountered\u2062 resistance from the Pentagon next, where officials cited concerns about \u201coptics\u201d \u2062if National\u200c Guard troops were sent to the Capitol.\u2062 House leadership\u200c also complained about\u200d the \u201coptics\u201d of Guard reinforcements \u2063pre-emptively\u200b stationed in the run-up to Jan.\u200d 6, Sund added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven when we\u2019re in the middle of battle, I\u2019m being told,\u2063 \u2018No, they\u2019re concerned about optics,&#8217;\u201d \u200bSund \u2062said. \u201cBut they\u2019re sending resources to the generals\u2019 homes to \u200dprotect their homes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sund\u2019s radio appearance corroborates\u200b Federalist <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/08\/exclusive-liz-cheney-january-6-committee-suppressed-exonerating-evidence-of-trumps-push-for-national-guard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reporting<\/a> on Friday \u200dthat then-President Donald Trump called for 10,000 National Guard troops to\u2062 offer additional security at the Capitol in the run-up to Jan. 6. The \u200dTrump White House, however, was frustrated \u2064by then-Acting \u2064Secretary of\u2062 Defense Christopher Miller\u2019s slow deployment\u2063 of the troops.<\/p>\n<p>Former Rep. Liz Cheney, who served as vice chair\u200d of the Democrats\u2019 \u2064Jan. 6 committee, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9554985\/Liz-Cheney-secretly-orchestrated-Washington-Post-op-ed-ten-living-former-Defense-Secretaries.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">discouraged<\/a> any use of the military in the run-up to the electoral count, with an op-ed \u200cshe organized of former defense secretaries. \u2064The J6 committee also concealed testimony from Trump White House Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony \u200bOrnato, who told lawmakers about\u2062 the president\u2019s\u200c demands to increase security at \u200bthe Capitol ahead of mass demonstrations.<\/p>\n<p>Last summer, Sund told former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that the New Jersey State Police arrived \u200bto reinforce officers at the Capitol before \u2064the National Guard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew Jersey State Police [had] beat\u200b them to \u200cthe Capitol,\u201d Sund said.<\/p>\n<p>Sund also said the Department of\u200d Homeland Security and the FBI hid intelligence\u2064 about the riot \u2064from the Capitol Police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cComing into it,\u201d\u200c Sund said, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/7-revelations-from-ex-capitol-police-chief-that-explode-democrats-jan-6-narrative\/\" title=\"7 Explosive Revelations from Former Capitol Police Chief That Shatter Democrats' Jan. 6 Narrative\">police received \u201cabsolutely<\/a> zero\u201d of the \u201cintelligence that we know now existed talking about attacking the Capitol,\u200b killing\u200b my \u200cpolice officers, attacking members \u200cof Congress, and killing members of Congress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNone of that was included in the intelligence coming up,\u201d Sund\u200b said. \u201cWe now know FBI, DHS was swimming in that intelligence.
