Users are correctly told that the Democrat presidential primary is on April 2. <\/p>\n<p>Jesse Garza, former district director for former Rep. Sean Duffy, first highlighted the issue in a post on X. <\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wisconsin_now?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@wisconsin_now<\/a> ask Siri when the Wisconsin Republican presidential primary is and then ask when the Democrat Wisconsin presidential primary is, hmmm\ud83e\udd14 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/L7awLN6rcQ\">pic.twitter.com\/L7awLN6rcQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jesse Garza (@GarzaGop) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GarzaGop\/status\/1765574474034786312?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 7, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Wisconsin has an open primary, meaning voters can just choose one party and a preferred candidate on <a href=\"https:\/\/myvote.wi.gov\/en-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">April 2<\/a> \u2014 not April 3. <\/p>\n<p>Garza said the incident is concerning, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsonline.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2024\/03\/07\/siri-giving-wrong-information-on-wisconsin-presidential-primary-election-date\/72878243007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Milwaukee Journal Sentinel<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe rely more and more on technology to give us information,\u201d Garza reportedly said. \u201cThe average person is not going to question it, especially if your brain is not focused on an election on this day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Federalist reached out to Apple for more information but did not receive a response by press time. <\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time Siri has given false information to voters about election dates, having told users in 2020 that the presidential election was going to be held on Nov. 8. <\/p>\n<p>The 2020 election was held on Nov. 3. <\/p>\n<p>Apple \u201cfixed the issue,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/11\/03\/after-getting-the-date-wrong-earlier-siri-now-knows-today-is-election-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TechCrunch<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>But the \u201cglitch\u201d is dangerous: voters who rely on Siri to keep them informed about upcoming events would have perhaps shown up to the polls days after the election was conducted, disenfranchising them at the expense of a Big Tech \u201cerror.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ NEXT: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/01\/31\/a-starting-point-meta-oversight-board-member-says-2020-election-interference-was-not-enough\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>\u2018A Starting Point\u2019: Meta Oversight Board Member Says 2020 Election Interference Was \u2018Not Enough\u2019<\/strong><\/a><strong>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin voters have even more reason to give heightened scrutiny to the primary and general election considering 2020 was <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/12\/10\/5-biggest-takeaways-from-the-latest-review-of-wisconsins-rigged-2020-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fraught with problems<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>An audit by the state\u2019s Legislative Audit Bureau showed more than 250,000 Wisconsin residents received an absentee ballot but never proved their identity because they claimed to be \u201cindefinitely confined\u201d due to Covid.
