Anthony Pro-Life America said Wednesday that the Biden administration uses \u201cfearmongering tactics\u201d to push an agenda of \u201cpainful, late-term <span class=\"il\">abortions<\/span> nationwide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group is also releasing a new ad accusing the Biden administration of lying about state abortion bans endangering women\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden is lying. State laws protecting unborn children allow doctors to act during a medical emergency,\u201d the ad says. \u201cWhile Biden briefly talks about abortion in his address, there will be thousands of pregnancy resource centers caring for women, providing health care, education, housing, and job assistance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President Biden will deliver his State of the Union address on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of the Supreme Court\u2019s decision reversing Roe vs. Wade, doctors were afraid of the new state abortion bans, and mainstream medical organizations, which tend to favor abortion, \u201crefused to provide guidance,\u201d according to Dr. Ingrid Skop, M.D., the director of medical affairs at the Charlotte Lozier Institute, the research arm of SBA Pro-Life America.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s important to realize that even prior to Dobbs 90% or more of obstetricians did not do elective abortion,\u201d Skop\u00a0told reporters during a call Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost of the hospitals that we practice in are Catholic, Methodist, Baptist. Those hospitals do not do elective abortions, and yet doctors always knew if there was a life-threatening emergency how they could intervene,\u201d Skop said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, abortion advocates have \u201cbacked the president into a corner,\u201d forcing him to share the \u201cegregious and extreme\u201d policy position of second and third-trimester abortions, Stephen Billy, vice president of state affairs at SBA Pro-Life America said during Wednesday\u2019s call.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut they know the American people don\u2019t support that extreme policy position and so they\u2019re having to use tragedies to advance their political agenda,\u201d Billy said.<\/p>\n<p>First Lady Jill Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/jill-biden-will-bring-kate-cox-who-left-texas-for-abortion-to-state-of-the-union\">plans to bring<\/a> Kate Cox, a woman who left Texas to get an abortion, as her guest to the State of the Union.<\/p>\n<p>Cox, 31, made headlines in December when she was denied an abortion in Texas for her unborn baby with a fetal anomaly and left to obtain the abortion out of state. Cox was more than 20 weeks pregnant with a baby who had a condition called trisomy 18, which involves having an extra chromosome 18 and can cause abnormalities like heart defects.<\/p>\n<p>Cox\u2019s legal team had <a href=\"https:\/\/reproductiverights.org\/texas-woman-who-needs-emergency-abortion-forced-to-flee-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">argued<\/a> that continuing the pregnancy threatened Cox\u2019s future fertility.<\/p>\n<p>However, in December the Texas Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/texas-woman-denied-abortion-of-baby-with-fetal-anomaly-leaves-state-to-obtain-one\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decided<\/a> against Cox, ruling that she was not entitled to a medical exception abortion under the state\u2019s abortion ban.<\/p>\n<p>Texas law <a href=\"https:\/\/statutes.capitol.texas.gov\/Docs\/HS\/htm\/HS.171.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">allows<\/a> for abortions only when a pregnancy seriously threatens the life of the woman or carries \u201ca serious risk of substantial impairment of a major bodily function.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>About 95% of trisomy 18 pregnancies <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20080804190753\/http:\/\/www.emedicine.com\/ped\/topic652.htm#section~Introduction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">result<\/a> in a miscarriage. However, some babies do survive past birth and can live into their toddler years, teen years, or even longer. A woman believed to be one of the oldest people with the condition <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox23.com\/news\/local\/oklahoma-city-woman-is-one-of-the-oldest-in-the-world-with-this-rare-genetic\/article_25b2070a-fe8c-5c93-b860-6b3ee0ff2dd4.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lived<\/a> to 40.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clq1ceawd0005356h4u8n80bk@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\" data-analytics-observe=\"off\">The Biden administration and his reelection campaign have placed abortion front and center as the election cycle heats up.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clq1ceawd0005356h4u8n80bk@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\" data-analytics-observe=\"off\">In January, the Biden campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-campaign-attempts-to-tie-trump-to-state-abortion-bans-in-new-ad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">debuted<\/a> a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vrtvE4bSwKY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new ad<\/a> titled \u201cForced,\u201d which features another Texas woman who obtained an abortion out of state.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clq1ceawd0005356h4u8n80bk@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\" data-analytics-observe=\"off\">Dr. Austin Dennard, a Dallas OBGYN and mother of three, left Texas to obtain an abortion for her unborn baby with anencephaly, a condition where a baby is born without parts of the brain and skull.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clq1ceawd0005356h4u8n80bk@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\" data-analytics-observe=\"off\">Dennard is one of several women suing Texas to clarify the \u201cmedical emergency\u201d exception to the state\u2019s abortion ban.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clq1ceawd0005356h4u8n80bk@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\" data-analytics-observe=\"off\">In her court testimony, Dennard acknowledged that her pregnancy had not made her \u201ccritically ill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/clq1ceawd0005356h4u8n80bk@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\" data-analytics-observe=\"off\">\u201cI was not hemorrhaging, I was not septic.
