Republican candidates former President Donald Trump and former\u200b U.S.\u2062 Ambassador to the United Nations\u2064 Nikki \u2063Haley have\u200b 854 delegates up for grabs, with 1,420 \u2062in play for \u200dDemocrats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Although \u2062President Joe Biden is leading his Democratic \u2062challengers, he won\u2019t quite meet the 1,215-delegate threshold needed to clinch his party\u2019s nomination by\u200d the\u2063 end of Super Tuesday.<\/strong> The earliest he can be \u2062named nominee is March 19, according to projections \u2064by the Associated Press.<\/p>\n<p>The top race to watch on Tuesday \u200cis the matchup between Trump and Haley as\u200d the \u200clatter seeks to thwart the \u200cformer president\u2019s momentum as he\u2062 looks to secure \u200dthe GOP\u2064 nomination. However, the earliest Trump could secure the GOP nomination is March 12, as not enough delegates are at play on Tuesday to put \u2062him over the threshold to\u200c be the presumptive nominee. Trump is poised to win most, if not all, states up \u2062for \u2062grabs on Tuesday, which could deal a fatal blow to Haley\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-to-vote-on-d-c-statehood-bill\/\" title=\"House to vote on D.C. statehood bill\">long-shot bid<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All eyes will be on\u2064 Haley \u2063in the aftermath \u2062of Super Tuesday to determine whether she\u2019ll drop her campaign.<\/p>\n<h3>Here are the races to keep an eye on as polls begin to close at 6 p.m. ET:<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Iowa Results:<\/h3>\n<p>President Joe Biden won the Iowa caucuses, handily defeating challengers Rep. Dean \u2062Phillips and Marianne Williamson. Only Democrats are voting in Iowa on Tuesday after Republicans held \u200btheir first-in-the-nation\u200d caucuses last\u200c month.<\/p>\n<p>The Associated Press called\u200b the race in Biden\u2019s \u2062favor\u2062 at 5:50 p.m.\u200b Biden led with 90.9% with nearly \u200dall\u200b the \u2062vote counted.
