In return, the university would grant Planned Parenthood ownership\u2062 of any patents \u200dand intellectual property resulting from research and experiments using the fetal tissue.<\/p>\n<p>The Biological Materials Transfer Agreement contract between Planned \u200dParenthood San Diego (PPSD) and UCSD states, &#8220;PPSD shall \u200bretain all right, title, \u2064and interest in and to the Material,\u200c including but not limited to \u200ball right,\u2062 title, and interest in patents and patent applications and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/miramax-sues-quentin-tarantino-over-pulp-fiction-nft-sales\/\" title=\"Miramax Sues Quentin Tarantino over 'Pulp Fiction' NFT Sales\">intellectual property rights relating<\/a> to the Material.&#8221; \u2064According to\u2064 CMP, this contract was updated in 2014 and remains \u200din effect today.<\/p>\n<figure>\n      <!-- Video --><br \/>\n    <\/figure>\n<p>CMP also obtained emails discussing &#8220;research collaboration&#8221; between Planned Parenthood officials and UCSD. In one email, UCSD mentions having\u2062 results to share \u2063on recently collected samples and plans to discuss payment to\u200c the residency program, which\u2064 refers to an abortion training program operated by \u200cPlanned Parenthood under UCSD&#8217;s OB-GYN department.
