Young women are beginning to realize how grueling these jobs are, with the TikTok trend ‍sparking viral videos of women reacting in awe at the work men do on oil rigs.

Oil rigging is‌ crucial to⁢ modern society. Oil and ‍gas extraction is what provides the rest of us with energy to build cities, heat our homes, power our vehicles, and facilitate global‌ trade.

Other essential and extremely dangerous industries, such as logging, fishing, roofing, trucking, construction,⁤ and iron ‍and steelwork are ‍also dominated by men.

The oil rig TikTok trend is an important reminder that the ⁢professions that quite literally build ‍and sustain our‌ civilization ⁤aren’t gate-kept from women due to structural sexism. Women physically can’t or, more‌ often, simply⁢ won’t do those jobs.

Yet this same demographic of women — ‍who know they ⁤could never and would never‌ underwater weld or steelwork — routinely⁣ takes the ⁢opposite sex ‌for⁤ granted. Men, meanwhile, have become dangerously discouraged.

Strachan adds that men are ‍increasingly abandoning their families and⁤ fueling a cycle of‍ fatherless homes. Lastly, ‌“In the bleakest ‍category there is,” writes Strachan, men are killing themselves at far greater rates ⁣than⁣ women, making up a disturbing 80‌ percent of suicides.

Demoralizing men is ‌not good for men, nor is it good for ⁢women. Frustratingly for many women, nearly 50 percent of young men ‍between‌ 18 ‍and 25 have never approached a woman in person to‍ ask her on a date. ⁢No date means no marriage,⁢ no children, ⁤and a population hovering dangerously ⁤below replacement rates.

When men’s masculine qualities, such ⁣as competitiveness, stoicism, and aggression, are demonized‍ instead of channeled for good, horrible things happen.‌ Women forget how ‍much men rely on‌ us to build them up. They desire our approval ⁢and respect. When we vilify their very nature, society begins to fall apart. This March,⁤ if ⁣women really cared about ⁣the betterment of their sex,‌ they’d start ⁤appreciating men.‍ If we have any chance of⁤ avoiding civilizational collapse, women⁤ need to ‍reject the feminist⁢ cult and begin understanding that both sexes play necessary and complementary roles in society.

Perhaps the oil rig‌ TikTok trend is a starting point. If women can at least appreciate ‌the ways men’s physical strength and stamina contribute to ‌society, maybe we can begin to heal⁢ decades of hurt and turmoil‌ between the‍ sexes spurred by toxic feminism.

What factors contribute to the underrepresentation⁤ of women in‍ certain professions, including offshore oil rigging

T men ⁢are unnecessary and‌ that women⁤ can ⁤do anything men can do. While it is true that⁤ women⁢ have made‍ significant progress in breaking barriers ⁤and achieving equality in many fields, it is essential to acknowledge⁤ that there are physical and biological ⁢differences between men and women that result in different‍ capabilities and preferences.

The TikTok trend of young women pranking their fathers with offshore oil rig job ‌offers‍ highlights this reality. These women, who⁣ are well aware of the grueling nature and dangers associated with such jobs, ⁤playfully joke about venturing into professions traditionally dominated by⁣ men. The‍ responses they⁤ receive from their fathers and brothers, warning them of the dangers and expressing doubts about their ability to handle ⁣such work,‍ further emphasize the general understanding that these jobs‌ are⁢ not suitable for women.

Indeed, the energy industry, including offshore oil rigging, plays ‍a critical⁣ role in modern society. ‌It is the backbone that provides⁣ us with the⁣ energy ‍needed for various activities, from powering ‍our vehicles to heating our homes. However, it is also an industry known for its high risks and fatality⁣ rates. The fact that women make up only 3 percent of offshore oil rig workers‍ and ‌likely even fewer underwater welders reflects the recognition, both⁤ by women themselves and society as‌ a ‌whole, of the physical demands and risks involved.

It ⁤is important⁤ to recognize that ⁢the underrepresentation of women in certain professions is not solely due to‌ structural sexism or ‍discrimination.‍ Rather, it is a combination of various factors,⁣ including‌ biological differences, personal‍ preferences, and aptitude. Men‌ and women have different strengths and inclinations, and we ⁢should respect and ⁤appreciate the diversity that⁢ each gender brings to the workforce.

While it is crucial to continue‍ striving for gender equality and breaking⁢ down ⁢barriers, it is equally important to recognize and celebrate the unique ⁤contributions that both ⁢men and women ⁤can⁤ make in different‌ fields. Instead of belittling or dismissing the roles that men ⁣traditionally occupy, we should value the contributions they ‍make to society.

In conclusion, the TikTok trend of young women pranking their fathers with offshore oil rig job ⁢offers sheds light on the realities of physical differences and preferences between men and women. It serves as a reminder⁤ that certain professions have inherent⁤ risks and demands‌ that ⁢make them unsuitable or unappealing to women. Rather ⁣than discounting or diminishing the value of traditionally ⁣male-dominated roles, we ⁢should appreciate the diversity of⁣ talents and interests between⁤ genders. Achieving true gender equality means recognizing and celebrating the unique contributions‍ that both men⁣ and⁢ women can bring to ‍the table.

Hannah Pawelski asked her dad on TikTok if he knew about ExxonMobil, an oil company.
