One little-discussed consequence of that move has been the way it throws \u2062open the door for those foreign nationals \u200cto obtain \u2063\u201cREAL\u2064 IDs,\u201d undermining the\u200d federal government\u2019s claim that \u200cthe new form of identification is meant \u200dto enhance security.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Expanding \u200dTPS and the Risk to National Security<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Department \u200bof Homeland Security (DHS)\u2064 Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced in September the government \u2064would \u2064provide TPS to roughly 472,000 Venezuelans who arrived in the\u2064 states as of July 31, \u200dsome illegally.<\/li>\n<li>The Biden administration previously granted TPS to more\u2062 than\u200c 242,000 Venezuelans during 2021 and 2022.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Overall, the Biden administration has expanded TPS \u200bto cover a total of nearly 700,000 foreign nationals from 16 countries including Yemen,\u2062 El Salvador, Ethiopia, \u2064Haiti, Honduras, Somalia, Afghanistan, Burma, Cameroon, Nepal, Nicaragua, South Sudan,\u2062 Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, and Venezuela.<\/p>\n<h3>The Consequences\u2064 for National Security<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>While it\u2019s\u200d unknown whether the man \u2062who allegedly murdered 22-year-old Laken Riley in \u200dGeorgia\u200d had \u200cbeen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/feds-deny-entry-to-ukrainian-family-at-u-s-mexico-border-checkpoint\/\" title=\"Feds Deny Entry to Ukrainian Family at U.S.-Mexico Border Checkpoint\">granted temporary protected status<\/a>, he\u2062 had reportedly entered \u200dthe country illegally in 2022, originally hailing from Venezuela \u2063\u2014 during\u2062 the period in\u2062 which the Biden administration was granting TPS to Venezuelan \u2063migrants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But that risk doesn\u2019t seem to concern the Biden \u200badministration. \u200dAnd\u2064 by granting TPS\u200b to \u200cnoncitizens, including illegal border-crossers, \u2063the Department\u200c of Homeland Security \u2063has enabled them\u2063 to obtain REAL IDs.<\/p>\n<h3>REAL IDs and the Erosion of Security<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Following the 9\/11 terrorist attacks, the \u2064federal\u200d government sold the REAL ID\u2064 Act of 2005\u200c as a means to protect air travel from\u2062 possible terrorist threats by improving the verification\u200c of passengers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Americans will be required starting in May 2025\u200d to \u200dprovide a REAL ID in order to\u200d board an aircraft. Yet thousands of illegal immigrants \u2062are being \u2062shipped nationwide via planes once they \u200barrive\u2062 in the U.S. despite having no photo \u200cidentification.<\/p>\n<p>And thanks \u200bto \u2063Biden, some of these illegal immigrants could\u2062 be obtaining REAL IDs \u2063(you know, the things meant to make \u2062us safer).<\/p>\n<h3>The Impact on Election Security<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>More than a dozen states already allow noncitizens,\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/washington-dc-city-council-gives-initial-approval-to-bill-that-would-allow-non-citizens-to-vote\/\" title=\"Washington, DC City Council Gives Initial Approval to Bill That Would Allow Non-Citizens to Vote\">including illegal immigrants<\/a>, to obtain a driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, federal DHS policy stipulates that any state can offer \u200cthose with TPS a \u200cREAL ID.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But TPS includes a sizable number of people who broke the law by crossing the \u2063border illegally before the \u2063Biden administration \u2064offered them \u2064temporary protected \u2062status \u2014 and it \u200chas been widely abused.<\/p>\n<p>Residents \u200cin Illinois expressed concern in September after the state permitted illegal immigrants to obtain drivers licenses. DMVs, which handle the rollout of identification documents \u200bincluding\u2063 REAL\u200c IDs, have long experienced system breakdowns \u2064that permit noncitizens to \u200dregister to vote.<\/p>\n<p>California\u2019s DMV wrongfully enrolled approximately 1,500 people, many of whom were noncitizens, to vote in 2018. Pennsylvania leftists have\u2062 been working tirelessly to \u200cpass\u200b a bill so that illegal \u200bimmigrants \u200dcan get driver\u2019s licenses while\u2064 the state\u200b passed legislation implementing automatic \u200cvoter registration at the \u200bDMV.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan \u2062Marks, Pennsylvania\u2019s then-commissioner for the Bureau of Commissions, Elections and Legislation, testified that the\u200b agency found \u2064544 improper \u200dballots were\u2064 apparently cast between 2000 and 2017.\u2063 The agency\u2064 said the ballots \u200dwere cast by \u200cnoncitizen immigrants \u2062who claimed they \u200cmistakenly registered\u2063 to \u200bvote.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"> <\/p>\n<h2> \u200d What are the potential consequences of granting TPS to individuals from countries with high crime rates and security concerns?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  Ravel and enhance national\u200d security. \u2063The Act\u2064 established minimum security \u200bstandards for state-issued driver&#8217;s licenses and identification cards, requiring stricter documentation and verification \u200bprocesses. It aimed to prevent \u200dterrorists from easily\u200b obtaining fraudulent IDs and gaining access to sensitive areas, such as airports and government\u200b buildings.<\/p>\n<p>However, the recent policy of granting TPS to illegal border-crossers undermines the purpose of the REAL ID Act. By providing\u2063 these individuals with legitimate identification, \u200dthe federal government is effectively opening the door for potential security threats. While not all TPS recipients may pose a risk, the lack of rigorous background checks and the potential for individuals with malicious intent to slip through \u2063the cracks is concerning.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the expanding \u2064TPS policy encompasses foreign nationals from \u2063countries with high crime \u2063rates and security concerns, such as Venezuela. By granting TPS to individuals from these regions, the government runs the risk of inadvertently admitting criminals or individuals associated with criminal\u200d organizations into the country.\u2063 This undermines national security and places additional burdens on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-votes-on-major-security-upgrade-will-fine-members-5k-for-bypassing-metal-detectors\/\" title=\"House Votes On Major Security Upgrade, Will Fine Members K For Bypassing Metal Detectors\">local law enforcement agencies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One \u2063particular example that underscores the potential consequences of \u200bthis policy is the case of Laken Riley&#8217;s alleged\u2064 murderer in Georgia. While it is unclear whether he had been \u2064granted\u200b TPS, he entered the country illegally from Venezuela\u2063 during the same period\u200b when the Biden administration \u200bwas granting TPS to Venezuelan migrants. \u2064This case highlights the need for a\u200d comprehensive and careful examination of individuals seeking TPS, especially when it comes to their potential threat to national \u2064security.<\/p>\n<p>The erosion of security brought\u2062 about by the expansion of TPS is further amplified by the ability of these individuals to obtain REAL IDs.
