They\u2063 engaged in violent confrontations with left-wing groups like Antifa, particularly By Any \u200bMeans Necessary (BAMN), who aimed\u2064 to disrupt and provoke fights at right-wing events.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Violence \u200dErupts as \u2063Antifa Clashes\u2062 with Trump\u2064 Supporters<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Antifa and related \u2064far-left groups decided they\u2063 needed \u2063to &#8216;shut this\u200d down.&#8217; &#8230; They came prepared for violence, bringing weapons including pepper spray, fireworks, knives, and homemade bombs,&#8221; wrote Judge Cormac J. Carney of the US District Court for the Central District\u200c of California. &#8220;And they used those weapons, as \u200dwell as\u2062 their bodies, against Trump supporters and \u200blaw enforcement.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, after prosecutors filed an emergency motion to appeal, one of the right-wing agitators, Robert Rundo, was arrested the following \u200bday. The Ninth Circuit\u200d ordered that he \u2062remain in custody pending\u2063 the resolution of \u200dthe appeal, emphasizing \u2062that no lower court could release him \u200cwithout further\u200d order from the appeals \u200dcourt.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Judge Objects to \u2064One-Sided Prosecution<\/h3>\n<p>Judge Carney strongly\u200b objected to the fact \u2062that federal prosecutors only charged right-wing participants, despite acknowledging that left-wing agitators engaged in similar\u2063 or even worse\u200c conduct during the same event. Antifa and related far-left groups attended\u200d the same Trump rallies as Defendants with the expressly stated intent of shutting down, through violence if necessary, protected political speech,&#8221; Judge Carney argued.\u2064 &#8220;The government\u200b cannot prosecute RAM members such as Defendants while ignoring the violence \u200dof members of Antifa and related \u2063far-left groups because RAM engaged in what the government and many believe is more offensive speech.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The \u2062judge&#8217;s order included photographs\u200c of \u200dAntifa engaging in violence at the same\u2064 protest for which the defendants were charged, further supporting the argument of selective prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>Evidence revealed that \u2063left-wing\u2062 protesters had specifically targeted the pro-Trump rally\u2063 to incite violence, which they successfully\u200d did. \u2064Reports from local police documented instances\u2064 of \u2062assault, pepper spray attacks, and even the possession of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/crenshaw-issues-list-conservative-guide-to-the-culture-wars\/\" title=\"Crenshaw Issues List: \u2018Conservative Guide To The Culture Wars\u2019\">improvised explosive device<\/a> by Antifa \u200dmembers.<\/p>\n<p>Rundo \u2063and Boman claimed that\u2063 they \u200cintervened to \u2062protect a black man \u200cwearing a red hat who was being\u2062 assaulted \u2062by over 10 Antifa agitators.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, the \u200cUS Attorney for the\u200c Central District\u200b of California proudly announced federal\u2063 charges against four local members of white supremacy groups involved in\u200c attacks at political \u200brallies.
