Shockingly, it was later discovered that Ibarra had\u200d illegally crossed the southern border in September 2022 and was \u200d&#8221;paroled&#8221; into the \u2063country by President Biden, just like \u200dover 1 million other migrants. Furthermore, Ibarra had been arrested in New York for endangering a child but was shielded from deportation by\u200c the city&#8217;s &#8220;sanctuary&#8221; policies.<\/p>\n<p>In their report, the Associated Press compared Riley&#8217;s murder to \u2064that \u200cof Mollie Tibbetts, a University of \u200bIowa student who was killed by an illegal alien while jogging in 2018. They also neglected to discuss the federal and New\u2062 York policies that prevented immigration law enforcement from taking action against Ibarra.<\/p>\n<p>The mainstream\u2062 media has a long record of downplaying the consequences of failed Democratic border policies. For instance, after Tibbetts&#8217;s killer was convicted in 2021, headlines from CNN, the New York Times, ABC \u2062News,\u200b and NBC News referred to him as a &#8220;farm worker&#8221;\u200b instead of an illegal alien.
