Change Healthcare was the only network affected by the \u2063cyberattack, according to\u2063 UnitedHealth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnitedHealth Group identified a suspected nation-state associated cyber security\u2062 threat actor had gained access to some of the Change Healthcare information technology\u2062 systems,\u201d the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/02\/22\/tech\/us-pharmacies-face-delays-filling-prescriptions-because-of-cyberattack\/index.html\">said<\/a>. \u201cImmediately upon detection of this outside threat, the company proactively isolated the impacted \u2063systems from other connecting systems\u2063 in the interest of \u200cprotecting our partners and patients, to contain, assess and remediate the incident.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The multi-billion-dollar \u200chealth insurance company is unsure when the service for its subsidiary will be restored and is working with law enforcement\u2062 and security\u2063 experts on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChange Healthcare is experiencing a\u200b cybersecurity issue, and our experts are working to address the matter,\u201d \u2062UnitedHealth said in a\u2062 statement. \u201cOnce we became \u200baware\u200c of the \u2062outside threat, in the interest of \u2064protecting our partners and patients, we\u200b took\u2063 immediate action to disconnect our systems to prevent further impact.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the cyberattack, \u2062some \u2062pharmacies could not process prescriptions for insurance companies to receive \u2062payment, CNN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/02\/22\/tech\/us-pharmacies-face-delays-filling-prescriptions-because-of-cyberattack\/index.html\">reported<\/a>.
