Jim\u200b Jordan \u200c(R-OH)\u200d said the\u200d indictment \u200cagainst Alexander Smirnov \u200dand his claims of having contacts with Russian intelligence officials do not\u2064 \u201cchange \u200dthe four fundamental facts\u201d tied to Burisma Holdings, a \u2062Ukrainian\u2063 gas company that employed Hunter Biden on its board for several years,\u200d and\u200c Joe Biden pressing\u2063 Ukrainian officials to\u2062 fire a top\u2062 prosecutor in\u200d the country, Viktor Shokin, when the elder Biden served as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: 'Pipeline' to Obama Admin Seen as 'Currency'\">vice president<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fact number one is Hunter \u2062Biden was \u2063\u201cput on\u200c the board of Burisma, \u200dgets paid a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-the-bidens-got-rich-while-americans-got-robbed\/\" title=\"Donald Trump: 'The Bidens Got Rich While Americans Got Robbed'\">million dollars<\/a> a year,\u201d Jordan said during an exchange with CNN\u2019s Manu\u2064 Raju.\u2062 The second fact, according to \u2063Jordan, was \u201che\u2019s not \u2064qualified\u2064 to be on the board. He said so\u200b himself in an interview,\u201d \u2063an apparent\u200d reference to Hunter Biden saying he \u200dwas hired because of his family\u200d name.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan said the \u200cthird fact concerned executives \u2062at Burisma asking Hunter Biden, \u201cCan you\u2063 weigh in with D.C. and help us deal\u2062 with the pressure we are\u2062 facing \u200cfrom the prosecutor?\u201d He was alluding to\u200b testimony by Devon Archer, who also served on the board of the company. \u201cFact number four, Joe Biden \u200dthen \u2062goes \u200bto Ukraine\u201d days after\u2064 a call was made\u200b and \u201cconditions the release of\u200c \u2026 American tax money\u2063 on the firing of \u2063the prosecutor who was applying the pressure\u201d to Burisma, Jordan added.<\/p>\n<p>Raju\u200b asked a follow-up question, \u2062pressing Jordan on his prior assertion that an\u2062 FBI-generated FD-1023 form with Smirnov\u2019s claims that Burisma executives paid\u2064 $5\u2062 million in\u2063 bribes to\u200d the \u2063Bidens was the \u201cmost corroborating\u201d evidence for GOP investigators in \u200ctheir impeachment inquiry. \u201cIt corroborates but it doesn\u2019t change those\u200b fundamental facts,\u201d Jordan said.<\/p>\n<p>The Ohio Republican made similar points \u2063in another exchange with reporters outside\u2063 the deposition of James Biden, a brother \u2062of \u2062President Joe Biden,\u2064 for the impeachment inquiry.
