Version: 4.0.47--><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">BlazeTV founder Glenn Beck is sounding the alarm on a new push to demonetize and censor even more content concerning <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/climate-change\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">climate change<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, with specific targets including BlazeTV and Daily Wire host and author <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/watch\/jordan-peterson\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jordan Peterson<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A controversial British group called the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), which has <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/media\/in-the-news\/jim-jordan-subpoenas-center-countering-digital-hate-org-behind-bidens\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">reportedly<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> already worked with the White House, is pressuring Big Tech companies in the U.S. to target so-called \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/counterhate.com\/research\/new-climate-denial\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">New Denial<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201d of climate change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This would include discussing information that challenges the left-wing narrative on the impacts of \u201cglobal heating,\u201d suggesting that some policies billed as climate solutions \u201cwon\u2019t work,\u201d and arguing that \u201cclimate science and the climate movement can\u2019t be trusted,\u201d a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/climate-change\/news\/youtube-google-social-media-misinformation-b2478978.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from The Independent highlighted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So-called \u201cold denial,\u201d which is already being censored by Google and YouTube, includes arguments that \u201cglobal heating\u201d is not currently happening and \u201cburning fossil fuels is not the cause.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to the report, CCDH is calling on Big Tech \u201cto update policies to keep up with new forms of climate crisis denial along with removing financial incentives, and reducing its reach and visibility.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cNow, I\u2019m not sure how questioning the global elites is a form of \u2018global hate,\u2019 but apparently now it is,\u201d Beck <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cgUn5PYRURM\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">said<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in a video released Friday. \u201cBecause, that guy at the CCDH [Chief Executive Imran Ahmed], has spoken, and the White House will partner with him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cRemember, this is one of the White House\u2019s go-to experts on \u2018disinformation,&#8217;\u201d Beck emphasized. \u201cIt\u2019s a good thing the White House doesn\u2019t have a record of telling social media companies who to censor, right? Oh wait, we just learned in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/twitter-files\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Twitter Files<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, that\u2019s exactly what they\u2019ve been doing for years.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The CCDH produced a report on the \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/counterhate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/210324-The-Disinformation-Dozen.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">disinformation dozen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">,\u201d which was a list of people who supposedly spread COVID \u201cdisinformation.\u201d The group has also <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/counterhate.com\/blog\/our-campaigning-resulted-in-the-online-safety-act-in-the-uk\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">claimed credit<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for getting the controversial <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/british-lawmakers-want-to-jail-internet-trolls-for-causing-emotional-psychological-or-physical-harm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Online Safety Act<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> passed in the U.K.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That \u201cdisinformation dozen\u201d list was apparently used by the Biden administration to pressure Big Tech into censorship. House Judiciary Committee Chairman <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/jim-jordan\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jim Jordan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (R-OH), releasing the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/jim-jordan-unleashes-the-facebook-files-social-media-giant-censored-americans-because-of-biden-white-house-pressure\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Facebook Files<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, said over the summer that Facebook \u201cchanged its policies in direct response to pressure from Biden\u2019s Surgeon General, censoring members of the \u2018disinformation dozen.&#8217;\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1700760801843000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2PQrVSrJfhxNb4LcARqniG\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Continuing in his video, Beck said one of the goals of the CCDH is to get YouTube and other platforms to \u201climit the monetization of any content that goes against the global elites\u2019 narrative. And if I, in general, am against the global elites\u2019 narrative, then you wouldn\u2019t want any of my content monetized.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The host further explained that by demonetizing narrative-challenging content or figures, you\u2019d be effectively contributing to their censorship, too, since putting up the content costs money.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cA subscription model is the best way to function,\u201d Beck said, but added that it\u2019s \u201cwildly expensive to do what we do\u201d and therefore, advertisers must be taken on, too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Notably, Google already has a policy to \u201cde-monetize and de-amplify climate misinformation,\u201d YouTube has policies to ban ads on \u201cold forms of climate crisis denial,\u201d and Google said in 2021 \u201cthat it would stop monetizing climate crisis denial content,\u201d according to CCDH.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For CCDH, though, these policies do not go far enough, and therefore the expansion of \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/counterhate.com\/research\/new-climate-denial\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">New Denial<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201d must be included in the censorship efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CCDH\u2019s \u201cstudy,\u201d used to advance such censorship goals, specifically named Peterson as a promoter of such \u201cnew denialism,\u201d citing videos titled \u201cThe Great Climate Con\u201d and \u201cKilling the Poor to Save the Planet.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beck, too, was named.
