From the moment that Democrat\u2063 Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis dramatically \u2064entered the court hearing on Thursday, \u2063it was clear what her intentions were. And it’s hard to blame her because it’s \u2063her last resort.<\/p>\n

Even before being asked \u2063to appear or testify\u200c about her relationship with Nathan Wade, which \u200ccould potentially dismiss her\u2062 case against\u2062 Donald Trump, Willis\u2062 made a grand entrance in a striking pink dress. With a defiant arch of her eyebrows and her hand on her hip, she confidently placed a \u2064document on her legal team’s\u2062 desk and declared, “I’m ready\u200c to\u200c go.”<\/p>\n

She confidently \u200btook her place in the witness box and demanded\u2064 to\u200b see a \u200cseries of \u200bcourt filings. When her own attorney \u2063requested<\/a> a short break to locate the documents, Willis replied, \u2064”I’ll sit here and wait for them,” with her lips pursed and\u200d her eyebrows still raised.<\/p>\n

Willis\u2062 endured two hours of questioning from both her \u2062legal team and Trump’s associates regarding the conflict-of-interest\u200d charge \u200bagainst her office. She has been accused of unfairly\u200c prosecuting the former president and his \u2062alleged accomplices in defrauding Georgia voters during\u2062 the 2020 election. Despite hiring a special prosecutor who\u2063 happens to be a\u200b defense attorney<\/a>, and admitting to\u200b a \u2063romantic involvement \u2064with him, Willis vehemently defended her actions.<\/p>\n

The entire two hours were filled with drama.\u200b Willis\u2062 accused the defense team of lying and distorting her\u2063 relationship with Wade. She refused to \u200danswer simple yes-or-no questions\u200d and insisted on characterizing the motive and intent behind \u2063each question. Multiple times, \u2064she challenged\u2064 the questioners, asking, “Did you hear my answer?”\u200b At one point, she \u2063even screamed, “It\u2064 is a lie!” while\u200b holding \u2062up a stack of papers before requesting a break.<\/p>\n
