Sometimes mothers want abortions even after that, which led one of the facility\u2019s founders \u200bto lament, \u201cTurning\u2062 people away is the worst part of our entire jobs.\u201d \u2064So\u2063 it\u2019s not the baby-killing but the limits on the baby-killing that is the worst \u2062part?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And they are killing <em>babies<\/em>. We\u200c all know it. These abortionists are killing babies who are long past the threshold of viability. If they were delivered alive, they would readily be cared for in the NICU, often with excellent \u2064odds in their favor. Whining about not killing enough babies\u2062 demonstrates how evil deeds sear the conscience, numbing people to wickedness while driving \u200bthem on toward more. \u200bThis is illustrated clearly as the New Yorker\u2019s reporting \u2062demolishes the usual pro-abortion\u200c justifications for, and obfuscations \u2063about, late-term abortions.<\/p>\n<p>There are brief nods toward the usual arguments for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pentagon-briefing-for-senators-on-abortion-policy-changes-no-minds\/\" title=\"Senators remain unmoved by Pentagon briefing on abortion policy changes.\">late-term \u2064abortions<\/a> (health risks to the mother, a grim diagnosis for\u200b the baby), but the\u200c article quickly moves past \u200cthem \u2062to justify late-term abortion \u200don demand for healthy mothers with healthy babies. As one\u2063 of the\u2062 abortionists put it,\u200d expectant mothers might, for example, discover that \u201cthe person who \u2064got you\u2064 pregnant turns out to be an abuser who beats the sh-t out of you.\u201d\u2063 That is terrible, but why is it presumed that a man\u2019s wrongdoing justifies killing the child he fathered? Old Testament \u200dwarnings about the\u2062 sins of the father being visited\u2063 upon the children have nothing on modern leftists.<\/p>\n<p>Other supposed justifications for killing healthy, viable babies include suggesting \u200bthat if a woman\u200d has difficulty\u2064 obtaining \u200dan abortion earlier in \u2064pregnancy, she is somehow entitled to a late-term one, as if abortion were something \u2063just to get a rain check on.\u2062 Another excuse is that\u200d some women may not know \u200bthey are \u2063pregnant\u200b until well \u200calong in the pregnancy. The \u200dpiece closes with a profile\u200b of \u201cAmanda,\u201d who did\u200c not realize she was\u2064 pregnant until she was about 30\u200d weeks along. Several weeks \u2063later she got an abortion because neither she \u2063nor the father wanted a child.\u200b There were no health risks, \u2062no fetal anomalies, just\u2062 an elective abortion of a healthy\u200b baby that was months past viability.<\/p>\n<p>Abortion \u2064advocates\u2062 sometimes claim \u2064that late-term abortions are only done\u200c in the most dire and tragic of \u200dcircumstances, but as\u200b this \u200dNew Yorker piece shows, they are lying.\u200c Late-term abortions are done for all sorts of reasons, including, as in\u2064 Amanda\u2019s case, that \u201cshe\u2019d never\u200c wanted kids\u201d and\u200b the father \u201chad no interest in a \u2064baby.\u201d So they \u2062had their baby killed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-fcb382f7d7145e863e986b20a5424cf1 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-fcb382f7d7145e863e986b20a5424cf1\"><\/div>\n<p>There is no hiding\u2062 this\u200b killing,\u2062 though the article sometimes\u2062 tries to obscure \u2063it\u2062 behind indirect or clinical language, such\u2063 as describing an injection \u201cto stop the fetal\u2064 heartbeat\u201d and quoting the abortionist as saying, \u201cWe induce demise.\u201d What \u2063a polite way to \u2063say they kill babies. Similarly, the article explains, \u201cA later abortion can\u200d resemble going into labor.\u201d Yes, \u2062because the \u2063mother is still\u2064 delivering a baby, just a dead one.<\/p>\n<p>These\u200c verbal obfuscations do not really hide anything. \u2064Rather, they highlight the dishonesty of the \u2063excuses\u2064 and justifications offered by pro-abortion activists\u2064 \u2014 and if \u200bpro-abortion\u2064 activists \u2064balk at being described \u200das pro-abortion, this New Yorker\u2064 article has them dead to rights on that as \u2064well. As it explains,\u200b this particular\u200c abortion business began with a six-figure GoFundMe campaign. And there is a continuous\u200d stream of funding from pro-abortion groups eager to cover the costs of providing late-term abortions. People who donate to pay for \u200blate-term \u2062abortions are,\u200b in fact, pro-abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Pro-lifers\u2063 pay \u2062for diapers, baby clothes, and prenatal care while abortion supporters pay for dead babies, which are what they really want. After\u200b all, a late-term abortion still requires delivering a (dead) baby, so why \u2063not let the babies \u2064live and be adopted \u2014 unless killing them is the goal? There are far <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2021\/10\/adopt-baby-cost-process-hard\/620258\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more people<\/a> willing to adopt babies \u200dthan there are babies to adopt.
