\u201cSenate conservatives\u201d never killed anything \u201cdespite \u200dtheir initial insistence\u2062 that it be included.\u201d They were, \u2064in fact, never offered anything that\u200c they and a majority \u200dof voters insisted upon,\u2062 which was simply\u2063 a shutdown of impoverished and criminal migrants dumping\u2064 themselves into taxpayer care.\u2062 Instead\u2062 of offering \u200dthat\u2063 very uncomplicated fix, Senate\u200c Democrats, plus McConnell,\u2064 counter-offered<\/a> \u2063 some 2 million illegal border crossers permitted into \u2062the U.S. per year, \u2064plus special powers for the president to raise that cap as he sees fit.<\/p>\n
It would\u200d be like asking your server for a burger, and he\u200b instead\u2063 offers a foul egg\u200b salad. As you walk out unsatisfied, the server\u200d then curses you for neglecting\u2063 to buy\u2062 anything.<\/p>\n
