A recent report by Open the Books reveals that despite claiming to disband \u2062its diversity, equity, and \u2064inclusion (DEI) department, DODEA has actually intensified its efforts to \u200dembed DEI initiatives throughout the organization.<\/p>\n<p>When auditors from Open the\u200c Books sought information through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, DODEA denied or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senators-demand-unredacted-9-11-documents-on-saudi-role-in-attacks\/\" title=\"Senators insist on full disclosure of unedited 9\/11 documents regarding Saudi involvement.\">heavily\u2064 redacted<\/a> the requests. They discovered that DODEA Director Tom Brady was part of a newly-formed DEI\u2063 Steering Committee,\u200b but the agency refused to disclose the names of the committee members.<\/p>\n<p>Another FOIA request for calendar invitations related to the Steering Committee \u2063revealed heavily redacted documents, rendering them unusable. Sen. Chuck Grassley&#8217;s inquiry into alleged wasteful travel spending went unanswered for months. Former Rep. Vicky Hartzler&#8217;s questions about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republicans-urge-department-of-education-to-stop-secret-gender-transitions-for-students-after-12-year-olds-suicide-attempt\/\" title=\"Republicans Urge Department Of Education To Stop Secret Gender Transitions For Students After 12-Year-Old\u2019s Suicide Attempt\">secret gender transitions<\/a> at overseas schools were also ignored.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<h3>What Can Congress Do to Overhaul a \u2064Broken Institution?<\/h3>\n<p>Despite the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/derek-chauvins-family-being-kept-in-the-dark-after-prison-attack\/\" title=\"Derek Chauvin's family uninformed following prison assault\">deep-rooted problems<\/a> at DODEA, Congress\u200c has \u2064options to bring about change. One possibility is including provisions in the FY25 NDAA \u200dto provide education freedom to military families.<\/p>\n<p>Legislative proposals\u200c to \u200callocate funding for vouchers from Military Impact Aid have faced opposition, but voucher programs like the Education Savings Account for\u200d Military Families\u2062 Act could offer a solution for \u200bfamilies stationed in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>For military\u200d children \u200dattending schools overseas, Congress could create education allowances similar to those received by State Department personnel. \u2063Modifying the Non-DOD Schools Program, which provides school vouchers to students outside of DODEA&#8217;s service area, is another potential solution.<\/p>\n<p>Education freedom \u2062would allow families to choose between DODEA \u2064schools, public schools, or other \u2062options, providing an alternative for those dissatisfied with the current lack of transparency and hidden agendas.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> Why is it troubling that\u2062 taxpayer dollars are \u200bbeing used to fund controversial DEI training programs without considering employees&#8217; personal beliefs or opinions?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  Ncy failed to provide any \u200dinformation about\u2064 the committee&#8217;s purpose or activities.\u2063 This lack of \u200dtransparency raises concerns about the true intentions\u2064 and agendas of the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the\u200c report by\u200d Open the Books found that DODEA has\u200b been\u200c using taxpayer \u2062dollars to \u200cfund controversial DEI training programs. These\u2062 programs, which promote a specific ideology and agenda, are being forced upon DODEA employees without any regard for their personal beliefs or opinions. This not only violates the principles of individual freedom and diversity, but also wastes taxpayer money on initiatives that may not align with the values and \u200cexpectations of the American people.<\/p>\n<p>The culture of secrecy\u200d and deception within \u200cDODEA is \u2062particularly troubling because \u2063it \u200bdirectly impacts the\u200d education of military children. Greenlights New Border Wall Amid Ongoing Illegal Immigration.\">face numerous challenges due<\/a> \u200bto \u2062their \u2063parents&#8217; military \u200bservice,\u2063 and\u200b it is \u2063crucial that they receive a quality \u200deducation that prepares them\u2064 for the future.\u200b However, if DODEA is more focused on pushing a particular\u200c political agenda than on providing a well-rounded education, these students may not be receiving the support and guidance they need.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the lack of transparency and the denial of information by DODEA is\u200d a disservice \u200dto the \u200cAmerican\u200c people. As taxpayers, we have a right to know how our money \u200dis being used and whether it is being used in an appropriate and responsible manner. By \u200bhiding behind a \u2063veil of secrecy, DODEA\u2064 is betraying the trust of the American people and undermining \u2062the principles of accountability\u2064 and transparency.<\/p>\n<p>It \u200cis imperative that DODEA address the culture of secrecy and\u200c deception \u2064within\u2063 its organization. This starts with providing\u200c full\u200d transparency and honest communication with the public and with \u200bits \u200demployees. \u200cIt also \u200crequires a reevaluation of the DEI initiatives and training programs being implemented, ensuring that they\u2064 do \u2063not promote a\u2064 specific political\u200c ideology, but rather foster an environment of inclusivity, \u2062respect, and understanding.<\/p>\n<p>The education of military children is an important responsibility, and it should not be overshadowed by political agendas or hidden agendas. DODEA must prioritize the well-being\u2064 and education \u2063of these children, and that means\u2064 embracing transparency, honesty, and accountability in\u200d its\u2062 operations.
