Below an historical image of a gang of Nazi youngsters\u200c attacking a bloodied and fleeing Jewish woman, the caption read:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i>Jews were beaten in the streets,\u2064 not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors\u2026. even by children. Because history is \u200bedited, most people \u2064today don\u2019t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government \u2063first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is\u2063 that\u2064 any different than hating someone for their \u2062<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">political views<\/a>?<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Disney\u200b wildly mischaracterized the post, calling it \u201cabhorrent and \u2062unacceptable,\u201d claiming Carano had \u201cdenigrat[ed] people based on their cultural and religious identities.\u201d But worse, Carano says news outlets like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/02\/11\/arts\/television\/gina-carano-lucasfilm.html?smtyp=cur&#038;smid=tw-nytimes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> dutifully spread the\u200c company\u2019s false narrative.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I was going through it, I was like, \u2018These people are telling such lies. How are they getting away\u2063 with this?\u2019\u201d the former MMA fighter wondered. \u201cThe media \u2063was sick at that\u200d time. They would just try to twist everything that \u200cI posted into something racist. In trying to \u200bbattle Disney for years and years?\u2064 Or am I going to just try \u200dto restart my life? I had spoken to some lawyers, and they said how expensive \u200cit was going to be. And I was like, oh my gosh, well, I need to get stable and in a \u200bsafe place first.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/podcasts\/morning-wire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LISTEN: Morning Wire<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Musk\u2019s willingness to foot the legal bill for anyone who had a legitimate discrimination claim changed her timeline.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as she saw it, she reached out to X executives and almost immediately heard back from\u2062 lawyers \u2064asking\u2064 for more\u200b information. \u2062Carano sent\u200c over her story, including a detailed timeline, email records, and text communications \u2064she\u2019d kept from her time working on \u201cThe Mandalorian.\u201d Then she held her breath \u200dfor the short time it took\u2062 them to reply back, \u201cYes, we want to take this on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If successful, Carano\u2019s\u200d suit, filed February\u2063 6 in a California federal court, will force Lucasfilm to recast her and compensate her for lost wages.\u2062 And she doesn\u2019t believe she\u2019ll be the last wrongful termination complainant Disney will \u200bface, especially given that Musk put out \u200ca <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1755007753289134162?s=46&#038;t=mc2vHozZJYYzru9DdSGqTQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">second call<\/a> urging other current and former Mouse House \u200cemployees to come forward if they believe the company has discriminated against \u2063them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think \u2063 [the lawyers X has provided to pursue cases against Disney] are probably getting flooded,\u201d Carano says. \u201cThere\u2019s needed to be\u2062 a reckoning in that\u2063 company, I believe, for a long time. Because \u200cfor a long time, it\u2019s \u200bbeen like, \u2018Well, we\u2019re Disney. We\u2019re \u200dLucasfilm. You\u2062 should\u200c just \u200cbe honored to be here.
