Cheney After She Hints at Making Criminal Referral">recommend criminal charges against him. However, it did raise⁤ concerns about his mental capacity.

Citing the report as evidence, several Republican lawmakers are now calling on Biden’s Cabinet to declare him unfit to serve as president under the 25th Amendment.

“This report labels Biden as a ‘well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.’⁤ That does not⁢ describe someone who should be the Commander in Chief of our armed forces⁢ and the defender of American freedoms. It’s time for his⁤ cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment,” said Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL).

Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) also expressed their support for invoking ⁣the 25th Amendment through separate social media posts. Lee questioned, “If ever⁣ there were a time to invoke the 25th Amendment, wouldn’t that time be now?”

Representative Marjorie ⁢Taylor Greene (R-GA) responded to a statement⁤ from House GOP leadership, which described Biden⁣ as “certainly unfit for the Oval Office.” Greene insisted ⁢that⁣ the president should be removed either through the 25th Amendment or impeachment.

“The Special Counsel’s report exposing that Joe Biden’s⁢ mental decline is so severe that he cannot stand trial means he⁢ is unfit for office. We must demand either the 25th Amendment be invoked or impeachment,” Greene emphasized.

Representative Mike Collins (R-GA) stated that there has never been a stronger case for invoking the 25th Amendment than now. ⁣Representative Mary Miller (R-IL) called for Biden’s resignation and, ⁤if he refuses, for his Cabinet to invoke ‌the 25th Amendment.

“For the safety of our nation, Joe Biden must resign. He is not‍ competent to remain as Commander-in-Chief, and every day that he remains, ‍he puts America at risk. If ‍he won’t resign, the Cabinet must invoke the 25th Amendment,” Miller asserted.

Section 4 of⁢ the 25th Amendment allows the vice president, along with a majority of the Cabinet, to declare⁤ the president “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.” The ⁤vice president would then assume the role of acting ⁣president.

If the president disputes this⁢ assessment, he can resume his duties unless the ‍same coalition reaffirms their stance to the Senate’s president pro tempore and the speaker of the House within four days.

Congress would then have 48 hours, if not in session, to reconvene and vote on whether the president⁢ is incapable of performing his duties. If Biden refuses to step down, his Cabinet must take action and invoke the 25th Amendment,” Miller asserted.

The 25th Amendment to⁤ the United States Constitution allows for‍ the ‍removal of a president who is deemed unable to‍ discharge the powers and duties of the office. ‌It provides a mechanism for the ‌transfer of power ⁤to the vice president in case of presidential incapacity.

The call for invoking the 25th Amendment comes ‌after the release of the report by special counsel ‍Robert Hur, which highlighted Biden’s “significantly limited” memory. While the report did not recommend criminal charges against the president,⁤ it did raise concerns about his mental capacity.

The concerns raised by ‌the report have led Republican lawmakers to question Biden’s fitness to hold the highest office in ⁣the nation. They⁢ argue that a president with compromised ‍memory cannot effectively serve as ‍the Commander in Chief of the armed forces and protect American freedoms.

Senators Rick Scott, Mike Lee, and Josh ⁣Hawley, along⁢ with Representatives ⁤Marjorie Taylor Greene, Mike Collins, and Mary Miller, have all voiced their support for invoking the 25th Amendment or⁢ demanding Biden’s resignation. They argue that the severity ⁤of Biden’s mental decline, as outlined in the special counsel’s report, makes him unfit for office.

While there is disagreement among ⁤lawmakers regarding the appropriate course of action, they all ⁤emphasize the urgent need to address this issue for the sake of the nation’s stability and⁢ security.

It‍ remains to be seen how Biden’s⁤ Cabinet will respond to these calls for invoking⁣ the 25th Amendment or whether they will initiate the necessary steps to assess ‌the president’s ability to fulfill his duties.

The debate⁢ surrounding Biden’s mental capacity and the potential ‍invocation of the 25th Amendment raises important questions about the qualifications and requirements‍ for holding ⁤the highest office in the United States.
