With a defiant, combative \u2064statement and press conference\u200b where he read from notes, \u2064caustically dismissed the report&#8217;s findings that his memory is fading, insulted \u200breporters, and then, in unscripted comments, confused the presidents\u200c of Egypt and Mexico and said that Israel&#8217;s response to the Hamas atrocities of October 7 has been\u2062 &#8220;over the top.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It may \u2063have been the worst Oval Office\u200c address \u2064in my recollection. Only Bill\u200c Clinton&#8217;s &#8220;I did not have sex with that \u200bwoman&#8221; screed springs to mind\u200b as competition. In a spur decision,\u200c Biden tried to debunk concerns over his age and ability\u2014and promptly confirmed our worst fears about what is happening\u2062 inside the\u2062 White House.<\/p>\n<p>Now we know\u200c why his staff has kept Biden under wraps. Why \u2064he won&#8217;t do a Super Bowl pregame interview\u2014reaching the massive NFL audience on an unofficial \u2064holiday\u2014for the second\u2063 straight year. It&#8217;s not just that \u2062his aides worry he&#8217;ll confuse Travis and Taylor. They&#8217;re petrified he might cause a\u200b national\u2062 security\u200b crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s \u200bwhy America \u200cis in\u200d trouble. We are headed\u200b toward a general-election showdown that the public would prefer \u2062to avoid. And \u2064the\u200d Democratic incumbent&#8217;s condition is \u200dgrowing worse. Americans aren&#8217;t the only ones who read Hur&#8217;s report or watched Biden&#8217;s televised\u2062 meltdown.\u2063 America&#8217;s enemies did too. The world was a dangerous place before this afternoon. It has grown\u2062 more dangerous since.<\/p>\n<h3>Who is Running the White House?<\/h3>\n<p>There&#8217;s another reason for concern. Who is \u200brunning the White House? It is hard to believe it is the sad and defeated man \u2064who addressed the nation \u200cThursday\u2064 evening. \u200cAs\u2062 Biden&#8217;s situation has worsened, he&#8217;s become more reliant on the progressive Democratic base. His latest policy \u200dblunders have weakened the country to further his bitter hopes of a second term.<\/p>\n<p>On January\u2062 26, for example, the Biden administration said it would freeze\u200c permits for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export projects. The decision \u200bwas jaw-dropping. Cheap and bountiful energy is \u200bthe\u2064 basis\u200b of\u200c strong, noninflationary \u2062economic growth. America&#8217;s\u200b shale revolution creates jobs,\u2063 made this country &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/rrapier\/2023\/05\/02\/us-energy-independence-soars-to-highest-levels-in-over-70-years\/?sh=90f91e7977fd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">energy\u200d independent<\/a>,&#8221;\u2064 and built the world&#8217;s \u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/us-was-top-lng-exporter-2023-hit-record-levels-2024-01-02\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">biggest LNG export industry<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>American LNG \u2063is cleaner than oil and coal. \u2064It \u2062contributes to global security by\u200d offering\u200c our allies and partners an energy source derived from \u2063a commercial republic under the \u200crule of law. American LNG shielded Europe\u200b from Russia&#8217;s oil and \u200cgas weapon. It&#8217;s a classic tale of American innovation and\u2063 entrepreneurship making the world a better place. \u200dWhat&#8217;s not \u200bto like?<\/p>\n<p>A lot, it turns out\u2014if you are a climate catastrophist bent on \u2063crippling America&#8217;s domestic production\u200b of \u200ccarbon fuels.\u200b The sort of person who funds Joe Biden&#8217;s campaigns and serves as a political appointee in his administration. Exactly\u200c the type \u200bthat the president \u200cfears.<\/p>\n<p>The green-energy lobby scares Biden. He could\u200c spend more time crowing about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2023\/12\/31\/us-oil-production-has-hit-record-under-biden-he-hardly-mentions-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tremendous amount\u200d of\u200d carbon-based \u200benergy produced\u2062 during his tenure<\/a>. It\u2064 might\u2064 improve his numbers. \u200cYet he remains silent. Why? Not just because he keeps out of the public eye.\u200c Because of\u200b the \u200bpotential backlash from greens who finance\u200b the Democratic Party\u200d and micromanage his environmental,\u2063 industrial, transportation, and tax policies.<\/p>\n<p>Biden \u200cplays their game. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/06\/09\/tc-energy-terminates-keystone-xl-pipeline-project.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kills<\/a> the\u2064 Keystone Pipeline.\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/09\/06\/1197945859\/anwr-alaska-drilling-oil-gas-leases-environment-energy-climate-change\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Closes<\/a> the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling.\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/10\/16\/biden-oil-reserve-fuels-00121298#:~:text=Biden's%20administration%20sold%20off%20more,levels%20since%20the%20early%201980s.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Drains<\/a> and \u200bfails to replenish the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/energy-environment\/4362861-biden-administration-five-year-offshore-drilling-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Restricts<\/a> offshore drilling.\u2062 And now, with this latest move, hampers a\u200b key\u200d node of the \u2064world \u200deconomy, \u200cempowers Russia, Venezuela, and Iran \u2064and other\u2064 autocratic energy producers, shifts\u200c LNG transport lanes toward a Houthi-terrorized\u200c Red Sea, and denies Americans jobs\u200b and a better standard of \u200dliving. Just to rustle up some votes.<\/p>\n<p>Brilliant, Joe.<\/p>\n<p>Executive orders \u2064can be reversed, \u2063but \u200ca fractured foreign policy is \u200chard to repair. Especially if that policy is, \u200das Secretary \u200cof State Antony Blinken\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\/secretary-antony-j-blinken-at-a-press-availability-46\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">put it<\/a> \u2064 this week during\u200b his fifth trip to the region since the \u200dOctober 7 terrorist attack on Israel, &#8220;a concrete, time-bound, irreversible path to a Palestinian state.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Blinken is delusional. There won&#8217;t be a Palestinian state so long as\u2064 Israel considers one to be a security threat. And \u2064it is the height of folly\u200b to push\u2064 Palestinian statehood as\u2062 Israel conducts\u200d an existential war\u200b against Hamas, readies its forces against \u200bHezbollah, and cracks down on\u2063 brewing\u200d threats in the West Bank. As the U.N. and UNRWA\u2064 are exposed as dens of anti-Semitism and complicity in violence against Jews. As America sinks into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/volunteer-battalions-potent-weapon-for-ukraine-against-russia-or-problem\/\" title=\"Volunteer Battalions: Potent Weapon For Ukraine Against Russia or Problem?\">low-intensity conflict<\/a> \u2064with Iran&#8217;s proxies\u200d in Syria, Iraq, and\u200b Yemen.<\/p>\n<p>Like many secretaries of\u2062 state, BIinken wants to recapitulate\u200d Henry Kissinger&#8217;s legendary shuttle diplomacy of the mid-&#8217;70s. Back then, \u2062the late, great American statesman traversed the Greater Middle\u200d East and laid the foundations for \u200bpeace between \u2062Israel\u200d and Egypt. Blinken has replaced shuttle diplomacy with shuffle diplomacy: He limps from country \u200dto country, getting nowhere.<\/p>\n<p>Worse, Blinken indulged in some appalling moral equivalence while in Tel Aviv, saying, &#8220;Israelis were dehumanized in the most \u200bhorrific way\u2062 on October 7. The hostages\u200b have been dehumanized every day since. But\u2063 that cannot be a license to dehumanize others.&#8221; As if there were any similarity, in any respect, between the atrocities Hamas committed that day and since and the way \u200din which Israel has\u2062 behaved as it tries to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/israel-declares-war-for-the-western-world-in-showdown-with-hamas\/\" title=\"Israel wages war in defense of the Western world against Hamas.\">minimize \u2062civilian casualties<\/a> and deliver \u2062aid\u2014that Hamas steals\u2014to Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>Worse yet: Biden&#8217;s comment that Israel&#8217;s response has been &#8220;over the top.&#8221; Is he serious?<\/p>\n<p>Domestic politics explains Blinken&#8217;s and Biden&#8217;s remarks, \u200dtheir frenzied pursuit of a \u200dPalestinian\u200d mirage, and the\u2063 general incoherence of President Biden&#8217;s \u200bactions in the Middle East. Biden is petrified that Arab Americans living in Michigan won&#8217;t\u2064 vote for him in November, thereby\u2064 cracking the \u2064Blue Wall and \u200bhanding the election to Trump. He assumes their votes can be\u2062 bought\u200c by pandering, by removing\u200b the conditions for Palestinian statehood, by taking a \u2064tough rhetorical\u2063 line against Israel. That&#8217;s\u200d why Samantha Power engaged in her own\u200d version of shuffle diplomacy this week,\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/02\/08\/us\/politics\/biden-gaza-michigan-arab-americans.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flying to\u2062 Dearborn<\/a> as Tony &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2024\/02\/06\/blinken-too-nice-israel-hamas-00139724\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Too Nice<\/a>&#8220;\u200c Blinken\u200b flailed overseas.<\/p>\n<p>Here I thought this \u2064was another\u2062 case \u2063of\u2064 a troubled incumbent flailing to command events. What the\u200b Hur report\u2063 and the Biden \u200bspeech reveal is far more\u200c troubling. Remember the liberal\u2064 media catchline during Trump&#8217;s presidency? &#8220;This is not normal.&#8221; Yes, indeed. America is in deep\u2063 trouble.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> How \u2062does\u200b the \u200cBiden \u2062administration plan to address the power vacuum created \u200din Afghanistan and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-pledges-israel-style-security-guarantees-to-ukraine-during-meeting-with-zelenskyy-g7-leaders\/\" title=\"Biden assures Ukraine of 'Israel-style' security support in G7 meeting with Zelenskyy.\">ensure regional stability<\/a> after the hasty withdrawal of US forces<\/h2>\n<p><span>  Peace between Israel\u200c and its Arab neighbors. But\u200b Blinken fails to recognize that\u2064 the\u2063 conditions today are \u200cvastly different from those of the 1970s. The region\u2064 is now engulfed in \u2063sectarian strife, proxy wars, and the rise of extremist groups \u2062like ISIS \u2063and Hamas.\u2063<\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s \u200dforeign policy team seems determined\u2064 to repeat the mistakes of the past. \u2063They want to resurrect failed negotiations and appeasement strategies that only embolden our adversaries and undermine \u200cour \u2064allies. They ignore the fact that Israel is \u200bthe only true\u200b democracy in the region, a steadfast ally, and \u2063the only country in the Middle East that shares \u2064our \u2062Western values\u2064 and interests.\u2062<\/p>\n<p>The \u200bBiden\u200c administration&#8217;s \u200cmishandling of the\u200c situation in Afghanistan is another example of\u200d their incompetence and lack of \u200bstrategy. The hasty withdrawal of US forces from the country created\u2064 a power vacuum that the Taliban \u200dquickly exploited. Now Afghanistan\u200c is once \u2062again under the\u200c control of \u200ba brutal and oppressive regime that harbors\u200b terrorists and\u2064 threatens regional \u200bstability. The Biden administration&#8217;s failure \u2064to plan for the aftermath of the withdrawal has\u200d put countless lives at risk\u2064 and undermined \u200dour national security\u2062 interests.<\/p>\n<p>It is clear that Biden is not \u200dup to the task of leading our country. His mental decline is evident, as \u2063is his lack of \u200cstrategic vision and\u2063 leadership. The 2024 \u2064election takes on even greater significance as we face a \u2064world \u200bthat is becoming increasingly volatile and dangerous. \u2063We need a leader who can restore confidence\u200d in our government,\u2064 rebuild our economy, and protect our national security.<\/p>\n<p>The American people deserve better than \u200dwhat we are \u200ccurrently getting from the Biden administration. We need a leader who is capable, competent, and\u2064 willing to put the interests of the American people first.
