Luz Mar\u00eda Henr\u00edquez, a California native\u2063 who became the \u200bexecutive\u2064 director of the ACLU&#8217;s Missouri\u200d chapter\u2063 in 2020, filed the complaint on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Since its establishment \u2062in 2022, \u200bDo No Harm has \u200bachieved success\u2062 in its\u2063 mission \u200dto combat divisive \u200ctrends in medicine,\u200d such as &#8220;Diversity, Equity and Inclusion&#8221; and youth-focused gender ideology.<\/p>\n<p>Representing thousands\u200c of medical professionals,\u2062 the group published \u200ba \u2064report\u200c in 2022\u200c criticizing the University of \u2064Florida \u200cCollege of Medicine&#8217;s\u2062 &#8220;anti-racism&#8221; resources. \u2062These resources instructed &#8220;white allies&#8221; to &#8220;assume\u2062 racism is everywhere, every day&#8221; and highlighted the admissions office&#8217;s commitment \u2063to &#8220;equity in healthcare.&#8221; Following the report&#8217;s release, the college removed these resources\u200b from its website.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Do No Harm \u2063filed\u200b a\u2062 lawsuit against Pfizer over a fellowship program that exclusively accepted minorities\u2062 and\u200b excluded whites and\u2063 Asians. Although a federal judge initially dismissed the suit, Pfizer opened \u2062the \u2063fellowship to\u200d applicants\u2064 of all races\u200b after Do \u2064No Harm appealed\u2062 the decision.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Do \u2064No Harm is pleased that Pfizer recognizes \u200dits \u2064blatant racial discrimination is unlawful and immoral,&#8221; said\u2062 Stanley Goldfarb, the group&#8217;s chair \u2064and former associate dean of the\u2063 University\u200d of Pennsylvania\u200b School of Medicine. Stanley Goldfarb is\u200d also\u2063 the father \u2064of <em>Free Beacon<\/em> chairman Michael\u2064 Goldfarb.<\/p>\n<p>While the ACLU has\u2064 been targeting\u2064 bans on transgender \u200ctreatments for minors nationwide, the majority of Americans support such laws.
