However, officials do expect the report to be critical of the president, according to the Washington Post.<\/p>\n<p>    The investigation focused on the mishandling of approximately 25 classified documents found at Biden\u2019s former office and his home in Wilmington, Delaware. The documents stem from his days as then-President Barack Obama\u2019s vice president.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    Although the report is not expected to be criminally damaging, the president\u2019s allies are preparing for it to hinder his reelection chances and embarrass Biden. The report is required to go to Congress, half of which is run by Republicans intent on highlighting the president\u2019s shortcomings,\u00a0especially ones he has criticized former President Donald Trump for having.<\/p>\n<p>    The discovery of classified documents from Biden occurred a few months after Trump\u2019s resort in Palm Beach, Florida, was searched by the FBI in August 2022.
