min-height: 50px; text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-3'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Jennifer \u2063Crumbley was read her \u2064guilty verdict after the teenager accused his parents of failing to \u200bhelp him prior to\u200b the 2021 \u200cattack where Crumbley took the \u2064lives of four students at Oxford High School.<\/p>\n<p>After deliberating on the case for ten hours, the 12-person jury,\u2064 six men and six women, came to a decision in \u200dOxford, \u2063Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>The judge \u200dthanked the \u200bjurors for their work on what she described as \u201cthe\u200b hardest things you\u2019ve ever done\u201d after \u2062the verdict was \u200dread.<\/p>\n<p>Following the announcement of the verdict, two police officers \u2063put \u200cCrumbley in handcuffs and led him out of the \u2062courtroom.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution argued that Jennifer is responsible for \u200dthe deaths of the\u200c victims because she was \u201cgrossly negligent\u201d by gifting\u200b her son a\u2064 gun and failing to provide him with the proper help for his mental health issues. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a rare case\u2063 that takes some \u200breally egregious facts,\u201d Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said in closing arguments on Friday. \u201cIt takes the unthinkable, and she has done the unthinkable, and because\u200b of that, four kids have died.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According\u200d to evidence revealed in \u2063the courtroom,\u200c the teen had a journal where he described his plan to shoot up the\u2062 school. \u2064He \u2062also wrote that \u200dhis parents would not listen to his pleas\u200b for help. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI \u2064have zero help for my mental problems\u2064 and\u200c it\u2019s causing me to shoot up the \u2026\u200d school,\u201d Ethan Crumbley, then 15-years-old, wrote in his journal. \u201cMy parents won\u2019t\u2062 listen to me about help or therapist,\u201d the boy said, adding that he would spend his life in prison and that \u201cmany people have about a day left to live.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When Jennifer\u200b took\u2062 the stand last week, \u200cshe stated that\u2063 she \u201cwould not have done anything differently.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/newsroom\/ethan-crumbleys-mother-takes-the-stand-says-she-regrets-her-sons-actions-in-the-michigan-shooting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">During her\u200c trial<\/a>, \u2064it was also revealed that Jennifer was having\u2063 an affair with a married firefighter before the shooting and that she told her \u2064lover that she had \u2018failed miserably\u2019 as \u2063a parent after the tragic\u2064 event. <\/p>\n<p>Her lover, Brian Meloche, \u2062then responded with \u201cyou didn\u2019t do this\u201d and told her to be careful since the \u201cFBI is involved.\u201d <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cBe careful of anything you type on messenger or\u2064 text,\u201d he wrote\u2064 later. \u201cThe FBI is involved, they can access anything and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Jennifer claimed that on the day of the shooting, she and her spouse were unable to bring Ethan home because they were both employed.<\/p>\n<p>However, \u2062Meloche testified that she told him she could leave work early that morning to meet with him. <\/p>\n<p>He went on to say that they usually had their covert rendezvous in the parking lot across from her place of employment in the mornings of workdays. <\/p>\n<p>The mother\u2019s case has revolved\u200d around a meeting that took place a few hours prior to the shooting between the school administration and \u200dthe Crumbley family.<\/p>\n<p>Ethan\u2019s school advised that he seek assistance as soon as possible, but\u2063 the Crumbley\u2019s refused\u2063 to take him home because they had to go back to their jobs.
