Discovering a\u200c biological connection to early Americans who fought in the Revolutionary \u200cWar is a deeply meaningful experience for descendants. The Sons of the American Revolution, established in 1889, catered exclusively to men. In response, four courageous women formed\u2063 the Daughters of the American\u2062 Revolution\u200b one year\u200d later, creating a refuge \u200bfor women who wanted to bond over their shared connection to America&#8217;s founding.<\/p>\n<p>With their motto &#8220;God, home, and country,&#8221; DAR has always been\u200d dedicated to America&#8217;s founding values. However, the new language was vaguely worded and did not explicitly state that males would be admitted to the\u2064 society.
