Of course, this is racist, and\u200d the left\u2019s narrative is a lie.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-311481798\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6de104cf40b7ca1a6876e562721e21b8 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6de104cf40b7ca1a6876e562721e21b8\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From the Depths of Poverty and Despair<\/h2>\n<p>But first, let\u2019s focus\u2063 on a truly remarkable American life. Thomas was born in 1948 into abject poverty in \u200dPin Point, Georgia, just outside \u200bof Savannah, where segregation ruled the day. His father \u2064abandoned the family when\u200c Thomas was 2, leaving his mom,\u2063 who was\u2063 uneducated and working as a maid for \u2063white families and \u200bat the\u2064 nearby oyster factory, to struggle to raise three children.<\/p>\n<p>By the grace \u2064of God, Thomas\u2019 mother asked her parents to\u2063 help, \u200cand Thomas and his brother went to live \u200bwith his \u200cgrandparents. His grandfather \u200cenrolled the boys in \u2062the segregated all-black\u2062 Catholic elementary school. Those \u200dtwo\u200c developments changed Thomas\u2019 life, as his grandfather \u2063and the Irish\u200b nuns at St. Benedict\u2019s held young Clarence to the \u200dhighest standards and expectations, teaching him the virtues \u200dof hard \u200dwork and perseverance, and\u2062 did not accept any excuses.<\/p>\n<p>With those skills, Thomas \u200bexcelled through\u200c school at \u2064every level, despite being the \u2062only black student at a \u200cjust-desegregated high school seminary. In his\u200d college years,\u2063 and especially at \u2063Holy\u200b Cross, Thomas embraced black nationalism, \u200dand as \u200dhe has described, \u201cracism and\u2062 race explained everything.\u201d But\u200b Thomas soon concluded this\u200c was not the answer and began his journey back to where he started in the Catholic Church. He embraced a philosophy that focused on individual rather than group rights.<\/p>\n<p>On his \u2062intellectual journey back from the\u200d left, he came upon\u2062 the books \u200bof Professor Thomas Sowell, a brilliant economist and prolific writer, who \u200btook issue with\u200b liberal social \u2063welfare programs and explained\u2063 how they harmed\u2062 black Americans. Sowell is a black man, and thus his philosophy was\u2063 viewed as especially heretical. But Thomas gulped up his work, and as Thomas described, Sowell had a \u201csalvific\u201d effect and a \u201ctremendous impact\u201d on Thomas\u2019 life.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b43173a93ef9c592b319ec3181a50b36 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b43173a93ef9c592b319ec3181a50b36\"><\/div>\n<p>At a conference hosted by Sowell in December \u200c1980, Thomas made similar comments to a reporter about\u200b the harmful effects of\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-white-house-confirms-3t-infrastructure-bill-will-be-in-two-parts\/\" title=\"Biden White House confirms T infrastructure bill will be in two parts\">social welfare programs<\/a> on black families. Retribution \u200cfrom the left \u200band its allies in the media was instant.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dissenting From Destructive, Racist Ideology<\/h2>\n<p>Thomas\u2019 hard-earned views led him into the Reagan administration. It was there that Thomas\u2019 steel backbone was \u200cforged as he was mercilessly attacked, particularly by liberal black leadership. Often ignored in this story are Thomas\u2019 \u200dbattles with \u200bthose in the Reagan \u2062administration who thought he \u2063was taking the wrong approach. He stood his ground to all critics and stuck to his \u2063principles.<\/p>\n<p>But Thomas\u2019 criticisms \u2063of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/group-trying-to-convince-asians-that-america-is-oppressive-has-ties-to-chinese-state-media\/\" title=\"Group Trying To Convince Asians That America Is Oppressive Has Ties To Chinese State Media\">race-based affirmative action<\/a> and \u2064other social welfare programs were an existential threat to\u200b the left, and \u2063especially the \u200cliberal black leadership\u2019s\u2064 efforts to \u200cplay on white \u200cguilt\u200d and label\u200c America as a\u200b racist \u2063country, where blacks were \u200bhelpless, lower standards \u200dand \u200bset-asides were necessary for\u2062 blacks, and reparations \u200bwere required.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas called out this destructive ideology and has been \u200dbranded a sellout, \u2063an \u200bUncle Tom. But this is a lie. It\u2019s the black leftist leadership\u200b that does\u2064 not \u2062reflect black Americans\u2019 views, and in fact, advocates policies harmful to black Americans. For example,\u2063 81 percent of black parents support \u2063school choice, which would allow parents to move their children \u2063from failing schools to\u200b better schools.\u2063 Such\u200c opportunities have proven to be life-changing\u200c to young children who were condemned to a poor education, but the NAACP\u2062 opposes school choice. Why? \u200cPerhaps because the NAACP receives significant funding from majority-white unions,\u200b with leaders\u2064 like Randi Weingarten.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-835fde04221e5dd07acd4e1c5e5c046e fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-835fde04221e5dd07acd4e1c5e5c046e\"><\/div>\n<p>On \u2063many of the hot-button issues, black\u200b Americans are much more\u200d conservative than black leadership. They oppose \u2062race-based affirmative action and\u2062 late-term abortions and overwhelmingly support\u200c voter-ID laws. The liberal black\u200c leadership holds the\u2062 opposite views on these issues. Who exactly is the sellout and traitor?<\/p>\n<p>Thus, it\u2019s not surprising that \u200bthe\u2064 left launched an all-out assault \u2062on Thomas \u200cduring his nomination \u2062to \u2062the Supreme Court, including the baseless 11th-hour smear by Anita Hill. The \u200dNAACP opposed his nomination, despite support from an overwhelming majority of black Americans. Sound familiar? After watching Thomas, Hill, and others testify, the American \u2062people \u200doverwhelmingly believed Thomas. And only 26 percent of \u2064women \u200cbelieved Hill.<\/p>\n<p>When Thomas went on the court, Democrats and leftist black leadership \u200bcontinued to show their \u2063true racist colors, smearing Thomas \u200cas dumb and unqualified, a shoe-shine\u200c boy to Justice Scalia. A\u200c young Hakeem Jeffries compared Thomas to a\u2063 \u201cHouse \u2063Negro.\u201d Thomas paid no mind \u200dto these critics, taking his seat on \u2064the high court, and over the course of \u200bmore than 30 years in more than 750 opinions,\u2064 he advocated an originalist jurisprudence \u2064that is faithful to the Constitution. He was often in the \u200cdissent, but these opinions have formed a roadmap for this new court\u2019s\u200c majority opinions, including on affirmative action, Second Amendment rights, abortion, religious liberties, and reining in the administrative state.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Endless\u2063 Mission to Discredit a Black Conservative<\/h2>\n<p>Having lost the battle of ideas, the \u2064left now attacks Thomas on made-up ethics charges. Like\u200b the smears over the past 40 years, Thomas knows it is not grounded in facts, but\u2064 driven by the left\u2019s\u200c obsession to take down a principled black conservative. As he noted, \u201cThis is the wrong black guy. He has to be destroyed. Just say it. Now, at least\u2064 we\u2019re\u200c honest\u2063 with each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This animosity toward Thomas was on \u200cshocking display in the last \u2062year of the Obama administration when the National Museum \u2062of African American History and Culture opened, and \u200cthere was nothing on\u200b Thomas\u2019\u200d life or\u200d time \u2063on the \u200cbench. Instead, it mentions Thomas once in the\u200d context of\u2062 the discredited Anita Hill making allegations against him and has a button, \u201cI believe Anita,\u201d on display.<\/p>\n<p>We know Thomas lives rent-free in\u2064 the left\u2019s collective racist mind\u200d and drives them crazy, but for those\u2063 not blinded\u200b by leftist rage, Thomas should live\u2063 in our hearts and minds, \u200dand we should \u200ccelebrate him and\u2062 his life \u2014 especially during Black \u200bHistory Month.<\/p>\n<p>During this month, and every other month, I recommend watching the terrific documentary, \u2064\u201cCreated Equal: Clarence Thomas in His \u2062Own Words,\u201d or \u200breading the book of the same name. Better yet, read Justice Thomas\u2019 riveting memoir,\u200c My Grandfather\u2019s\u200c Son, which was a No. 1\u2064 New York Times bestseller.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2fe6adc45ed4ff2b95ac502b5433c8d1 fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2fe6adc45ed4ff2b95ac502b5433c8d1\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<\/div>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> How has Justice Thomas&#8217;s commitment to \u2063principle \u200band\u200c the Constitution earned him the\u200b respect of his colleagues on the bench<\/h2>\n<p><span>  \u200bN 7,000 opinions, he has proven\u2062 himself to\u200d be one of the most brilliant legal minds of our time.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Legacy \u200bof Clarence Thomas<\/h2>\n<p>Justice\u2062 Thomas\u2019 impact on\u2063 the Supreme Court cannot be overstated.\u200b He has\u2063 consistently championed originalism and textualism, the interpretive methods that prioritize the original meaning\u2064 of \u200bthe Constitution \u2062and statutory text. Through\u2064 his\u200b opinions, he has defended the principles \u2064of limited government, \u2062individual liberty, and the protection of fundamental \u2062rights.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Justice \u200cThomas has been \u200da tireless advocate for \u2064the rights of the disadvantaged and marginalized.\u2063 He has consistently argued that government\u2064 policies should\u200c not be race-based, as they perpetuate stereotypes and discrimination. Instead, \u200che has advocated for colorblind \u200dpolicies that treat all individuals equally under the \u2062law.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Thomas\u2019 commitment to principle and his unwavering\u2063 defense of \u200dthe Constitution have earned him the respect of his colleagues on \u200dthe bench. Despite facing relentless attacks from the left, he has \u200bremained steadfast in his beliefs and\u2062 has never wavered in his commitment to the rule of law.<\/p>\n<p>As the second black Supreme Court justice, Justice Thomas has \u2062broken barriers and paved \u200bthe \u200dway for future generations \u200cof black legal professionals. His success serves as an inspiration to\u200c all Americans and a testament to the power of hard work and perseverance.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Celebrating Justice Thomas<\/h2>\n<p>This Black History Month, \u2063it is important that we recognize and celebrate the achievements of Justice Clarence Thomas. He is a trailblazer, a brilliant jurist, and an exemplary American. His legacy\u200b will continue to shape the legal landscape of our nation\u200c for years to\u200b come.<\/p>\n<p>It is \u200ctime for the left and its media allies to set aside their\u200d biases and acknowledge the contributions of \u2064Justice \u200cThomas. By ignoring or \u200cdefaming him,\u2064 they not only perpetuate a false narrative, but they also undermine the progress that has been made in the fight for equality and justice.<\/p>\n<p>Let us\u2062 use this opportunity to educate ourselves\u200b and others about the remarkable life and jurisprudence \u2064of Justice Clarence Thomas.
