The\u200d Democratic\u200b presidential nomination process kicked off in\u2062 The Palmetto \u200bState on Saturday, and \u200cparty officials\u200b have\u2063 a clear message for Haley, Trump&#8217;s sole \u200brival: &#8220;South \u200dCarolina Democrats are not going to vote for you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Democrats Stand Firm<\/h3>\n<p>Speaking in Columbia, Democratic \u200bNational \u2064Committee chairman Jaime Harrison made it \u2063abundantly clear to Haley, \u200bstating, &#8220;Nikki,\u2063 just understand that\u2063 South Carolina Democrats are not going to vote for you. I want \u2062you to get that message loud and clear this morning.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Harrison urged Democrats to support President Joe\u2062 Biden, who secured the New Hampshire\u2063 primary \u2063through write-in ballots.\u2064 He also \u2063criticized Haley, claiming that she\u200d has done \u200dnothing for the Democratic Party.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Harrison&#8217;s\u200b Critique<\/h3>\n<p>Harrison didn&#8217;t hold back in\u2063 his critique of Haley, stating, &#8220;You didn&#8217;t do anything for \u200cus. \u2064So, we&#8217;re not \u200bbailing you\u2064 out. We&#8217;ve got two MAGA apples in this field that&#8217;s left, and both of them are rotten. And so, Democrats in South\u2062 Carolina\u200b aren&#8217;t bailing either one of them out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In \u2062response to Harrison&#8217;s comments, Haley&#8217;s spokeswoman, AnnMarie Graham-Barnes,\u2063 fired back, saying, &#8220;Nothing would make Democrats happier than Donald Trump being\u200b the Republican\u2062 nominee\u200b because they \u2064know they can&#8217;t beat Nikki\u2062 Haley. South Carolina \u2063remembers\u200c everything she did as governor, and 70 percent of Americans are looking for an alternative to two \u2063grumpy old men.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Continuing his criticism of the idea that Democratic voters would support Haley, Harrison\u2064 took to \u200cX to highlight her actions \u2064as\u2064 the 116th governor of South Carolina, claiming that she \u2063&#8221;made it harder for Black voters to vote.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Harrison&#8217;s Response<\/h3>\n<p>Harrison,\u2062 a constituent of South Carolina, shared his personal experience with\u200b Haley&#8217;s\u200c governance, stating, &#8220;Nikki Haley was my Governor.
