However, Haley did manage to surpass Trump\u200b in terms of unfavorability, with 49% of respondents rating her \u200bunfavorably compared to 52% for Trump.<\/p>\n<h3>Comparing Trump and Haley<\/h3>\n<p>When asked to describe the two candidates using various\u2064 adjectives,\u2063 43% of\u200d respondents considered Trump a &#8220;strong leader,&#8221; while 39%\u2064 believed Haley to\u200c be the most &#8220;even-tempered.&#8221; Among Republican and Republican-leaning respondents, a significant \u2063majority of 77% preferred Trump as the nominee, with only 13% backing Haley.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, both candidates were almost evenly matched when pitted\u200c against President Joe Biden individually. When asked to \u2064choose between Trump \u200cand Biden, 45% of respondents sided with \u200cTrump, while 44% chose\u200b Biden. Similarly, when asked to choose between Haley and Biden, \u206338% favored Haley, and \u206239% favored Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Expectations for the Future<\/p>\n<p>Respondents were also \u2064asked \u2063about their predictions for\u200c potential matchups between Biden \u200dand the two candidates.
