Democrats: Talking the\u200d Talk, but \u2064Not Walking the Walk<\/h2>\nThat\u2019s the asinine campaign message Democrats are \u2063using heading into the 2024 election to convince voters that Donald \u2064Trump and his \u201cMAGA Republican\u201d supporters are\u200d an existential threat to the republic. Because as everyone knows, the political party that \u2063attempts to throw its \u2063 primary political opponent<\/a> \u200d off the ballot<\/a> and into prison<\/a>; prosecutes<\/a> \u200d praying pro-lifers; targets<\/a> practicing Catholics; interferes<\/a> \u2062in elections<\/a> to its candidates\u2019 benefit;\u200d and coordinates<\/a> with Big Tech to silence<\/a> \u200d dissent online is the standard-bearer of \u2063\u201cdemocracy.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Fight Against \u200cAmericans’ Wishes<\/h3>\n
For all their disingenuous rhetoric about \u2064upholding the will of the people, Democrats are \u2064actively fighting \u2063against Americans\u2019\u200d wishes \u2014 especially when it comes to the integrity of U.S. elections. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Last week,\u2062 the\u200d Honest Elections Project (HEP) released a report<\/a> recommending 14 policies for states to implement to ensure an electoral \u2064process\u2064 that\u2019s fair and accountable to the people.\u200c Democrats\u2062 are actively \u2063fighting against\u2063 many of the\u200b commonsense practices outlined in the analysis \u2063despite\u200c their \u200bpopularity amongst the \u2064American \u2063electorate. <\/p>\n
Take, for instance, voter ID requirements. In July, the HEP released survey \u200bdata<\/a> \u2063 showing that a whopping 88 percent of U.S. voters back laws \u2062requiring eligible citizens to show \u200ca \u2064form of identification in order to cast\u2062 their ballot. Polling by Gallup in 2022\u200c produced<\/a> similar\u200d results, with 79 percent of respondents in\u200b favor\u200b of a photo ID requirement.\u2063 But \u2063that doesn\u2019t seem to matter to Democrats, whose acolytes have spent years ignoring\u200c voters\u2019 wishes and engaging\u200d in dishonest lawfare \u2063to \u200cdismantle states\u2019 existing voter ID requirements. <\/p>\n
From Ohio<\/a> to New Hampshire<\/a>, leftist lawyers and groups have filed frivolous lawsuits aimed at gutting voter ID statutes. Many of these suits\u200b are based\u2062 on unsubstantiated\u2062 claims that such laws \u201cdisenfranchise\u201d nonwhite voters<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Disregarding the Will of the People<\/h3>\n
While courts<\/a> across<\/a> the<\/a> country<\/a> have repeatedly\u200d determined their \u201c voter suppression<\/a>\u201d arguments to be bogus, Democrats\u2019 \u2064continuous \u200duse of nonwhite voters as\u2064 a crutch to smear popular voter ID laws shows how little\u2063 respect\u2064 they have for \u201cdemocracy.\u201d\u2064 The\u200b aforementioned HEP poll also \u200bshowed\u2064 the vast majority of black (82 percent) and Hispanic (83 \u200cpercent) voters \u2062support such requirements \u200cin order to vote. Gallup\u2063 found\u2064 that 77 percent of nonwhite respondents supported photo ID laws. If \u200cDemocrats truly respected the will of the American \u200cvoter, as they regularly claim to do,\u200d why are they trying to undercut \u2063a policy most of them support?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
But it\u2019s not just voter\u2062 ID requirements. Democrats are actively waging\u200c a nationwide campaign \u200cto \u200cdemolish\u2064 numerous policies recommended by the HEP\u2063 that ensure secure elections<\/a> and are \u200csupported by \u2064the \u2064majority\u2062 of U.S. voters.<\/p>\n
While most<\/a> of the\u200d electorate (89 percent) believes \u201cAmerican \u2062elections should only\u2063 be for American citizens,\u201d that hasn\u2019t stopped Democrats from attempting to authorize noncitizen voting throughout the country. Last year, for example, Rhode Island Democrats introduced<\/a> legislation to authorize\u2062 localities \u2063to allow illegal aliens to \u2062vote in their municipal elections. Some cities, such \u200b San Francisco, New York City<\/a>,\u2064 and Washington, D.C<\/a>, have already passed measures\u2063 permitting certain noncitizen \u2064voting. \u200b <\/p>\n
In response to left-wing nonprofits dumping hundreds of millions of \u201c Zuckbucks<\/a>\u201d\u200d into\u200b local \u2062election offices during the 2020 \u2062election to benefit Joe Biden, elected \u2063officials and\u200d voters in 27 states<\/a> \u200denacted measures restricting election offices\u2019 ability to\u200b accept\u200d and\u2064 use private\u2064 monies to administer elections. In response, several of those same Democrat-aligned groups formalized the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence<\/a> as a \u2063way of circumventing these \u201cZuckbucks\u201d bans and therefore violating \u2062the will of \u200bthe people in the aforementioned states. <\/p>\n

Undermining\u2064 the Integrity of\u2063 Elections<\/h3>\n
The \u200csame dynamic can also be \u2064seen regarding mail-in\u200c voting<\/a>.\u200b Most voters (66 percent) support terminating<\/a> no-excuse mail voting \u201cas long as states offer two weeks of early in-person voting, including weekends.\u201d Meanwhile,\u200d Democrats \u2014 who used the Covid lockdowns as a pretext\u2063 for expanding <\/a>the use of vote-by-mail and other insecure election practices \u2014 have continued to\u2063 push unsupervised mail \u200bballoting across the country. Some states, such as \u2062Nevada, automatically<\/a> mail individuals listed on \u2064the state\u2019s voter rolls a ballot ahead of elections. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Whether it\u2019s<\/a> banning foreign money in elections, ensuring transparency in \u200dthe \u2062elections process, or backing election audits, the story remains the same: \u2064Democrats actively oppose \u200bpolicies supported<\/a> \u2062 by voters that bring accountability and security to the U.S. elections system. Their screeds about being the party of \u201cdemocracy\u201d are a dishonest talking\u2064 point designed to obfuscate their \u2063contradictory actions and smear \u2064their political opponents as extremists. <\/p>\n

In response to left-wing nonprofits influencing election offices \u2062through large donations, elected officials and voters in 27 states have enacted measures\u2062 restricting election offices’ ability to accept and use private money to administer elections. In response, Democrat-aligned groups have formed the\u2063 U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence as a way of circumventing these restrictions and violating the will\u2063 of the people in these states.<\/p>\n
It is\u200c clear that \u2064Democrats are not walking\u200d the walk when \u2063it \u2063comes to democracy. They claim to\u200c be the party of the people, but their\u2062 actions speak otherwise. They are actively fighting \u200bagainst the will of the\u2062 American voter and undermining the\u2063 integrity \u200dof elections.
