After a disappointing year in \u200bsales for the brand, the popular stand-up comedian Shane Gillis has exciting news to share. He\u200c will now be collaborating with Bud Light,\u2063 as announced on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcome to the team @shanemgillis, excited to be a part of your 2024 tour,\u201d the beer \u2064brand posted<\/a>. <\/p>\n
\u201cExcited to announce partnership with Bud Light #budlightpartner,\u201d Gillis posted to his Instagram account<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Last year, Bud Light faced a decline in sales after partnering with transgender \u200dactivist and influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The collaboration led to a boycott that lasted for months, causing a significant drop in sales and \u200closing its position as the best-selling beer in America.<\/p>\n
In addition to the Mulvaney collaboration, Alissa Heinerscheid, the former marketing vice president of Bud Light, made controversial remarks about\u200c the brand’s customers in a video interview. She emphasized the importance of inclusivity and shifting the brand’s tone to appeal to \u2064both men and women.<\/p>\n

\u201cRepresentation is\u2064 sort of at the heart of evolution, \u2063you have got to see people who reflect you in the work,\u201d she continued.\u2063 \u201cWe \u200dhad this hangover, I mean\u200b Bud Light had been kind \u200bof a brand \u2062of fratty, kind of out of touch\u2063 humor, and it was\u2064 really important that we had another approach.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Reports \u2064suggest that Heinerscheid has been let go from her position since then.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Gillis has faced his own share of \u200dcontroversy. He \u200dwas previously recruited by Saturday Night Live<\/em> but was fired shortly after due to the resurfacing of old jokes containing racist language. Despite this, Gillis has a strong following, particularly among conservative audiences, and has even been seen interacting with former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
