These materials will explain the standard of care and criteria for\u200c making treatment decisions for pregnant women \u200cwith\u2063 life- or health-threatening conditions.<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Due to the politicization of this topic, it&#8217;s easy for providers\u200b to be\u2064 confused,&#8221; \u2064Rehfeldt acknowledged. &#8220;I \u200cdon&#8217;t blame them because of the political nature of this conversation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Rehfeldt strongly opposes the \u200dextreme position of abortion up to birth, referring \u2064to it as &#8220;homicide.&#8221; She believes\u200d healthcare providers have an ethical duty \u200bto protect the health of both the mother and\u2062 the baby.<\/p>\n<p>South Dakota&#8217;s abortion ban went into effect after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v.
