Iranian proxy\u2064 forces have been attacking Americans all over the \u200cMiddle \u200cEast, from Iraq to Syria and now to Jordan. U.S. officials reported\u200c three U.S. \u2062service members\u200d were killed; at least\u2064 34 were injured in an Iran-backed\u200c militia drone strike on a \u2063base in northeast Jordan,\u200b according to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/world\/middle-east\/three-u-s-troops-killed-in-drone-attack-in-jordan-b45ddb6b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wall Street Journal<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now, that is a bit of a difference in kind from attacks in Iraq or Syria. Those are both countries but they\u2063 are not officially U.S. allies. \u2064Jordan \u200bis officially an American ally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So this would be an attack by an Iranian proxy force\u2063 into an\u200c American allied space on Americans. The strike \u200bcarried out by a\u200c one-way attack drone signals an escalation \u200cin\u2063 fighting in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The\u200b president and\u200c secretary of defense did put\u200b out <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2024\/01\/28\/statement-from-president-joe-biden-on-attack-on-u-s-service-members-in-northeastern-jordan-near-the-syria-border\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a\u200b statement<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  suggesting retaliation. President Biden\u2019s statement was this: \u2062\u201cToday, America\u2019s heart is\u200c heavy. Last night, three U.S.\u200c service members were \u2064killed\u2014and many wounded\u2014during an unmanned aerial \u2064drone\u200c attack \u2064on our forces stationed in northeast\u2063 Jordan\u2063 near\u2062 the Syrian border.\u200c While we \u200bare still\u200d gathering the facts of the attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran backed militant groups operating in Syria \u2063and Iraq.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And then there was language about grieving for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gov-andrew-cuomo-calls-to-remember-essential-workers-on-memorial-day-weekend\/\" title=\"Gov. Andrew Cuomo calls to remember essential workers on Memorial Day weekend\">fallen service members<\/a> and how wonderful the soldiers are, all of which is true.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>WATCH: The Ben Shapiro Show<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But \u2014 \u2064if Biden had not spent every day since October 7 trying to make nice with Iran, demonstrating that his true\u2064 interest \u2062in the \u200bMiddle East has \u200bnothing to do with American interests but to do with his electoral \u200binterests, this \u2062would not have happened.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here\u2019s the very\u200b simple math in the Middle East: If you do not punch terrorists directly in the mouth incredibly hard and incredibly often, then they get more aggressive with you. And when you show your neck, they attack.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Biden has been showing his neck well \u200bbefore October 7. He started showing his neck in the Middle East\u200d when he took the \u200dHouthis off the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-lawmaker-terror-suspects-are-starting-to-exploit-the-southern-border\/\" title=\"GOP Lawmaker: Terror Suspects Are \u2018Starting To Exploit The Southern Border\u2019\">terrorist watch list<\/a>,\u200b started appeasing the Palestinian Authority, and reoriented away from the alliance-driven model that President Trump had \u2064embraced with the\u2062 Abraham\u200b Accords model, which brought a lot of Sunni Arab countries into the fold, ranging from Saudi \u200bArabia, UAE, and Morocco to Egypt and Jordan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Biden decided to\u200b move away from that and, instead, seek the Barack Obamaesque\u200b idiocy of trying to pursue a deal with Iran.\u2062 When you do that, you conclude by\u2064 appeasing \u200dthe largest terror sponsor in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Naturally, as the doors began to\u2062 close around the Middle\u200b East to Iran, Iran\u200d started to buck\u2064 against that,\u200d and they started to use their\u2064 terror proxies \u2063to upend the burgeoning relationships in the Middle East, as a way of scuttling \u200bany possibility of the broadening of the Abraham\u2063 Accords to directly include\u200c Saudi Arabia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That is why\u2064 October 7 happened. Hamas was given \u200ca green light \u200bto attack\u2062 Israel by Iran. Then \u2063Hezbollah, \u2064an\u2063 Iranian terror group, was given the green \u200clight to attack Israel in the north.\u200b Then the Houthis were given the \u200cgreen light to attack shipping in the Red \u2063Sea. And at every turn, Biden made clear he was not going to hit them hard enough to make\u200b them \u200cstop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The reason is\u2062 because Biden is much more fearful\u2062 of war with Iran than Iran is fearful of \u200bwar with the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now,\u200b no one wants\u200c war with Iran. No one is interested in war with Iran. But if \u2062it comes down to\u200d it, who do \u200cyou think has \u2063more\u200d to fear: Iran\u2063 from going \u2064to war with the United States or the United States from \u2062going to \u200bwar with Iran?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s\u2064 not something I\u2019m calling for; I don\u2019t think it\u2019s a good idea. I don\u2019t think anyone \u200cin their \u2062right mind thinks that is\u2064 a good idea. Containment is a policy of deterrence \u200dthat is applied in various regions \u200csurrounding Iran. You don\u2019t have to go to war directly with Iran to secure shipping in the \u2064Red Sea, which\u2064 is \u200bdeeply necessary considering the\u200b container shipments now cost twice\u2062 what they\u2064 used to and everyone is now routing around the Cape of Good Hope instead of through \u200cthe Red Sea. Oil \u200cis getting more expensive because of all of this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Suggesting that Israel be supplied\u200d the munitions that it requires in order to take out the Iranian proxy \u2064Hamas and to deter or take out \u2063the Iranian proxy Hezbollah in the north has nothing to do with America going \u2063directly to war. When Americans get killed, the proper response\u200b to that is to make sure the other side of\u2062 the \u201cF around and \u200dfind out\u201d equation actually applies. That \u200bdoes not mean \u200byou have to directly attack Iran; it doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019re going to have \u2063F-22s flying over Tehran.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are ways the United States can \u2063apply force in the face of the deaths of Americans that actually establish deterrence. \u200cIf you\u2019re not \u2062going to do that, you shouldn\u2019t have troops there. It\u2019s\u200c that simple.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you\u2063 think that \u200bthe\u2064 United States should \u200ccompletely pull out of the region and have no troops \u2062there\u200d at all \u2014 which I believe \u2062is a specious argument,\u200b considering \u200cthe United \u2064States \u200ddoes have deep\u2064 and abiding reasons to care about the \u200bMiddle East, ranging \u2063from oil supply\u2063 to shipping strategy to democracy \u2014 the fact remains\u2062 that\u2064 if U.S. troops are\u200b there, you have to protect them. It is immoral and wrong not to protect them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And \u2062Biden has\u200b been \u2062in\u2063 the business of\u2062 trying to appease the people\u200c who have killed thousands of Americans since\u2064 the day he took office.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He\u2019s been in a delusional state about Iran, the same delusional state embraced by Barack Obama.\u200b And that led \u200bto the rise of Iranian power throughout \u2062the Middle East.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Donald Trump\u200c contained \u2062it. Donald Trump hampered the Iranians.\u2064 Donald \u200dTrump put in place some of the strictest sanctions in world history. He impoverished the Iranian regime. He boxed them \u2063in with the Abraham Accords and they knew it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">What they also knew is that if they screwed around with the United States under Donald Trump, he might punch them in the \u2063mouth. Anything associated with \u200bTrump had to be destroyed no matter how good \u200cthe \u2064policy was.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Biden inherited \u200da working border policy. He also inherited\u200d a working Middle East, which would have been\u200c considered impossible before Trump.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And\u200c he decided to destroy both of\u200c them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Biden \u200chas basically said to the Iranians, \u201cGuys, as \u2064long as you don\u2019t go to \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/israel-war-fighting-near-northern-border-raises-fears-of-conflict-with-hezbollah-and-hamas\/\" title=\"Israel's northern border skirmishes raise concerns of conflict with Hezbollah and Hamas.\">full-scale\u2064 war<\/a>, you can do whatever \u2063you want, whenever you want. You can kill Americans, keep it relatively\u2063 low-level; I\u2019ll keep it \u200crelatively low-level, and everything will be fine until I get my reelection.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> What actions\u200d should Joe Biden take \u200bto prioritize American security over appeasement and\u2064 protect the lives of our service members in\u2062 the\u2064 Middle East<\/h2>\n<p><span>  Gies to counterterrorism efforts \u200b\u2014\u2064 then that is a policy\u200b discussion \u2063that can be had. \u2062But if you are\u2064 going to have troops there, then\u2063 you better make \u200dsure they are safe and protected, and\u2062 that \u200dmeans responding \u200cwith force when necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Unfortunately,\u2063 Joe\u200c Biden\u2019s weak strategy in the\u200b Middle East has led to American casualties. His appeasement-oriented \u2062approach, \u200bseeking to make nice with Iran and\u200b appease them through \u200bnegotiations, \u200bhas only emboldened Iranian proxy forces and \u200dput American lives at\u200b risk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Instead of taking a strong stance against terrorism and \u200bdirectly confronting threats in the region, Biden\u2063 has\u200d shown weakness and hesitation, allowing Iran to escalate its \u2064attacks and endanger American forces and allies. By prioritizing \u200dhis electoral interests over\u2062 American interests, Biden has failed to\u200d protect our troops and has allowed\u200c the situation \u200din the Middle\u2063 East \u200cto \u200bdeteriorate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is clear that Biden&#8217;s strategy is misguided and detrimental to American national \u2062security. We cannot afford to have a leader who is more\u2064 concerned with avoiding \u200dconflict than protecting American lives. To ensure \u2062the safety of\u2064 our troops and allies in the Middle East, we need\u2064 a strong and decisive approach that confronts terrorism head-on and establishes deterrence against\u200b Iran and its proxy forces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It \u200bis time for Biden to reevaluate his strategy\u2062 and prioritize \u2063American security over appeasement. We cannot afford to \u2063continue down this\u2062 dangerous path that jeopardizes the lives \u2063of our service members.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The recent casualties in the Middle East should serve as a wake-up call to Biden and the administration to\u200c take immediate action\u2064 to protect American interests \u200dand ensure the safety of our\u2064 troops. Failure to do so will only lead\u200d to further casualties and a\u200d weakened position in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It \u200bis time for Joe Biden to show\u2063 strength and leadership in the Middle East, and to prioritize the safety and\u2064 security of the American people.
