Lake, a\u200d strong supporter of\u200d former President Donald \u200bTrump,\u2062 expressed no regrets for\u2062 her support.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He gave us a secure, \u200bsafe, \u2063prosperous America,&#8221; \u200cLake said on Fox News&#8217;s Sunday Morning Futures with Maria \u2064Bartiromo. &#8220;And I think they\u200c want\u200c to\u2063 get people back in the U.S.\u2064 Senate who they can control,\u200c who might be\u200c more of the neo-con type Republicans who will continue\u2062 to push \u2062for endless wars and an open \u2064border policy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>DeWit \u200dresigned from his position and was replaced by Gina Swoboda, who emphasized the importance of Arizona in the upcoming\u200c election\u2062 and\u200c urged citizens to vote for\u2063 Trump.<\/h3>\n<p>The Arizona\u200c Senate race is expected to be highly competitive, \u200dwith a\u200c recent poll showing Lake slightly ahead of Democratic \u200dnominee Rep. Ruben Gallego. However, the margin of error was 4%, indicating \u200ca \u200cclose race.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Kyrsten Sinema, who \u2064switched her\u200c party affiliation\u2063 to independent, has not yet announced if she will seek reelection.
